A two-day advocacy activity through the ๐
๐๐ฆ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐๐๐ฏ๐๐ฅ๐จ๐ฉ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง (๐
๐๐) was successfully conducted by the ๐๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐๐ข๐ฉ๐๐ฅ ๐๐จ๐๐ข๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ซ๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ฏ๐๐ฅ๐จ๐ฉ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐๐๐ข๐๐ (๐๐๐๐๐) of Hernani in coordination with ๐๐๐ง๐ญ๐๐ฐ๐ข๐ ๐๐๐ฆ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฒ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐จ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐๐ฆ (๐๐๐ฌ) Hernani on ๐๐๐ฒ ๐โ๐๐, ๐๐๐๐. The activity aimed to strengthen the role of fathers and male community members as advocates in preventing violence against women and children (VAWC) and promoting responsible fatherhood.
The sessions were participated in by fathers and other male adults related to the 4Ps grantees from different barangays of the municipality. To ensure wider participation and accessibility, the barangays were grouped into four clusters.
The first cluster session was conducted on May 9, 2026, at Brgy. Garawon, attended by participants from Brgy. San Miguel, Garawon, Batang, and Cacatmonan. The second cluster covered Brgys. San Isidro and Carmen. On May 10, 2026, the third cluster was held for participants from Poblacion Barangays 1, 2, 3, and 4, while the fourth cluster catered to Brgys. Nagaja, Canciledes, and Padang during the afternoon session.
The activity was graced by resource speakers who shared valuable knowledge and insights on preventing violence and the importance of active fatherhood in the family and community. ๐๐ซ. ๐
๐๐๐๐ข๐ ๐๐ฒ๐ฌ๐จ๐ง ๐. ๐๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐๐๐จ, LPT, ALS Teacher, and MOVE member (๐๐๐ง ๐๐ฉ๐ฉ๐จ๐ฌ๐๐ ๐ญ๐จ ๐๐ข๐จ๐ฅ๐๐ง๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐ข๐ง๐ฌ๐ญ ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐๐ง & ๐๐ก๐ข๐ฅ๐๐ซ๐๐ง ๐๐ฏ๐๐ซ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ก๐๐ซ๐), discussed the salient features of ๐๐๐๐๐ (๐๐ฆ๐ฉ๐จ๐ฐ๐๐ซ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ข๐ซ๐ฆ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐จ๐ ๐๐๐ญ๐๐ซ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐๐ฌ), particularly the topic โ๐

๐๐ฆ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐๐ข๐จ๐ฅ๐๐ง๐๐.โ He also discussed the organization and role of ๐๐๐๐ in promoting gender sensitivity and advocating against all forms of violence.
Meanwhile, ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ฌ๐ฆ๐๐ซ๐๐ฅ๐๐จ ๐. ๐๐๐จ of the Hernani Pnp also a MOVE member discussed the salient provisions, features, and penalties under ๐๐๐ฉ๐ฎ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ ๐๐๐ญ ๐๐จ. ๐๐๐๐ or the "๐๐ง๐ญ๐ข-๐๐ข๐จ๐ฅ๐๐ง๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐ข๐ง๐ฌ๐ญ ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐๐ง ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ก๐๐ข๐ซ ๐๐ก๐ข๐ฅ๐๐ซ๐๐ง ๐๐๐ญ ๐จ๐ ๐๐๐๐", emphasizing the legal responsibilities and accountability of individuals in protecting women and children from abuse and violence.
The activity was also attended by MOVE members, known as the โMOVERS,โ led by MOVE President John Rey Bandilla Anacio together with members Marlon Cena Author, Joel Calites Oprin, and Bryan Collarga Gayoso. Their presence highlighted the importance of male involvement in community-based advocacy initiatives promoting safe, respectful, and violence-free families. PCMS Evelina M. Berongoy of the WCPD Hernani was likewise present in support of the advocacy for the elimination of violence against women and children (VAWC).
At the end of each session, the MOVE advocates delivered messages of encouragement and commitment, inspiring participants to become active advocates in ending violence against women and children within their homes and communities. Participants were reminded that fathers play a vital role not only as providers but also as protectors, role models, and champions of respect, equality, and positive family relationships.
The activity served as an avenue to strengthen awareness, encourage behavioral change, and foster collective responsibility among men in building a safer and more supportive environment for women and children in the municipality.
