The very 1st Hilongosnon Azkal.

Azkals/ Philippine team, (to be part of it) is probably any kid’s dream, especially football players. Usa ka Hilongosnon ang naka kab-ot sa maong’ pangandoy sa mga young athletes, to represent the nation and most especially represent the beloved hometown playing the sport that they love, the sport that they trained and worked hard for. Mr. Maruelle Tongzon is a Hilongosnon that is part of the Philippine Azkal who played in Indonesia last June 1-14 at the ASEAN U19 boys championship (bank sumut cup).

Today, the Sangguniang Bayan of Hilongos passed a resolution that gave proper commendation to the Young Hilongosnon for bringing pride and honor to the town of Hilongos. I believe that this will have a very big importance and influence to the young people of our town.
