Senior Scouts and CDRRMO Join Hands for a Cleaner and Safer Community
The Senior Scouts of Raymundo T. Tongson National High School โ Main Campus, headed by their Outfit Adviser, Mr. Francisco De La Peรฑa, Jr., conducted a meaningful community service activity in partnership with the Himamaylan City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO).
The activity highlights the important role of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) as a partner of the Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council and the Local Government Unit in promoting solid waste management, disaster risk reduction and management (DRRM), and climate change adaptation (CCA).
Through teamwork and volunteerism, the Senior Scouts and CDRRMO demonstrated that building a clean, safe, and resilient community is a shared responsibility. Their partnership shows that when the community, the LGU, and young people work together, there is strength in unity and greater impact in addressing environmental and disaster-related challenges.
More than simply a community service activity, the initiative helped develop among the Scouts a stronger sense of discipline, responsibility, leadership, environmental awareness, and service to othersโvalues that can inspire more young people to become active partners in building a safer, cleaner, and more resilient Himamaylan City.
