The activity was conducted under the theme โ€œBayanihan sa Paaralan: Nagkakaisa para sa Kaayusan at Kaalaman,โ€ highlighting the collective commitment of government agencies, community stakeholders, parents, teachers, and volunteers in preparing schools for the opening of classes. In support of this initiative, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) actively participated by conducting fire safety inspections, hazard assessments, and awareness campaigns within school premises. These efforts aimed to identify and address potential fire risks, promote disaster preparedness, and ensure that learning institutions provide a secure, resilient, and conducive environment for both educators and students. In a proactive effort to bolster operational resilience and emotional well-being, personnel from the Hinatuan Fire Station participated in a comprehensive Mental Health Awareness Seminar and Psychological First Aid (PFA) Training. The session equipped first responders with the critical tools necessary to identify psychological distress and provide immediate, compassionate support to both colleagues and community members during high-stress emergencies. By integrating these mental health strategies into their professional toolkit, the team continues to strengthen its holistic approach to public service and disaster response.
