๐ The Municipality of Hinigaran officially commenced its celebration of the Hinugyaw Festival with a series of activities highlighting local enterprise and community collaboration.
On April 25, 2026, the festival marked the Day of Ingress for the 1st "HUGYAW" MSME Trade Fair, setting the stage for participating micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to prepare their booths and exhibits.
Today, April 28, 2026, the festival reached a significant milestone with the formal Launching and Ribbon-cutting ceremony of the 1st "HUGYAW" MSME Trade Fair.
The event was led by Honorable Mayor Mary Grace Arceo, alongside members of the Sangguniang Bayan of Hinigaran. Distinguished guests, including representatives from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI): Provincial Director Engr. Lynna Joy B. Cardinal, Engr. Engiemar B. Tupas, Chief Trade and Industry Specialist, and Gabriel Advincula, Trade-Industry Development Specialist (TIDS).
Also present were representatives from the Technology and Livelihood Development Center (TLDC), namely Ms. Denise Angela Jose, Ms. April Mar Jardeliza, Mr. Joseph Ryan Cuadra, and Ms. Mae Selene Resultay, a professor from the University of Saint La Salle and a business owner.
The MSME Trade Fair aims to showcase and promote locally produced goods while providing entrepreneurs an opportunities to expand their market reach. It also serves as a platform to strengthen support for local industries and encourage economic growth within the municipality.
As part of the eventโs highlights, participating exhibitors will take part in various activities, including a Booth Contest and the Top Grosser competition, which are designed to recognize creativity, innovation, and business performance.
The Hinugyaw Festival, celebrated from April 28 to 30, continues to emphasize community pride, cultural heritage, and the empowerment of local enterprises.
