HESWMB Convenes for 3rd Quarter Meeting, Advances Key Environmental Initiatives
The Hinoba-an Ecological Solid Waste Management Board (HESWMB) convened yesterday for its 3rd Quarter Meeting at the Executive Conference Hall, 3rd Floor of the Municipal Hall, to discuss ongoing solid waste management efforts and strengthen environmental initiatives across the municipality.
The meeting reflected the local governmentโs commitment under the leadership of Mayor Daph Anthony V. Reliquias, RN, through the presence of his Executive Assistant โ Mr. Johnny Ray L. Reliquias, to promote responsible waste management and a cleaner, healthier environment for every Hinoban-on.
The meeting covered updates on municipal waste collection schedules, the status of Materials Recovery Facilities (MRFs) across all barangays, and the implementation guidelines for the โNo Segregation, No Collectionโ Policy, upholding the municipalityโs commitment to proper waste segregation and responsible waste management.
Forester Analyn Manilingan-Calumba, Environment Management Specialist II, also shared key takeaways and salient features from the Pollution Control Officers Training she recently attended, providing valuable insights to further strengthen local environmental management and oversight.
A highlight of the gathering was the formal presentation and upcoming official launch of the โOne Hinoba-an Gawad Kalinisan Excellence Awards โ Barangay Category Program,โ led by Mr. Jimmy Z. Cambarijan, RAgri, MSAg, Senior Environment and Management Specialist / Officer-in-Charge, MENRO, and SWM Focal Person.
This initiative aims to recognize, reward, and inspire barangays that uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, waste management, and environmental stewardship across the municipality.
