🚑 PUBLIC ADVISORY | BFP HINUNANGAN AMBULANCE

The Hinunangan Fire Station Ambulance is currently undergoing preventive maintenance to ensure that the vehicle remains safe, reliable, and ready for emergency medical response.

During this period, the BFP Hinunangan Ambulance may be temporarily unavailable for ambulance services.

For emergency medical transportation or ambulance assistance, the public is advised to coordinate with the Hinunangan Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) or the Rural Health Unit (RHU) of Hinunangan for available ambulance assistance.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate the public’s understanding and cooperation. This preventive maintenance is being conducted to ensure the continued safety and reliability of our ambulance and the patients we serve.

LOOK | Last July 31, 2026, the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel of the Hinunangan Fire Station were on standby to provide emergency medical assistance and ensure the safety of participants, guests, and organizers during the Nutrition Month 2026 Celebration.

Throughout the activity, our EMS personnel remained on heightened alert, ready to respond to any medical emergencies that might arise. This standby operation reflects the Bureau of Fire Protection's unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and supporting community activities through prompt and reliable emergency medical services.

LOOK BACK | Last July 29, 2026, the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel of the Hinunangan Fire Station actively participated in the PNP Shooting Incident Simulation Exercise (SIMEX) conducted at Nava High School.

During the exercise, the Hinunangan Fire Station EMS Team provided emergency medical support, patient assessment, triage, first aid, and simulated casualty management, working closely with the Philippine National Police and other participating agencies. The activity aimed to strengthen inter-agency coordination, enhance emergency response capabilities, and improve preparedness for critical incidents involving active threats and mass casualty situations.

The simulation served as a valuable opportunity to evaluate response procedures, communication, and teamwork among participating agencies, reinforcing the importance of a unified and well-coordinated emergency response in protecting lives and ensuring public safety.

This throwback highlights the unwavering commitment of the Hinunangan Fire Station to maintaining operational readiness and delivering timely emergency medical services whenever and wherever needed.

💡 Did You Know?

Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) is a safe and reliable source of fuel when used and maintained properly. However, damaged hoses, faulty connections, or improper handling can lead to gas leaks that may result in devastating fires or explosions.

Always Remember:
✅ Inspect LPG hoses and regulators regularly for signs of wear or damage.
✅ Always close the LPG cylinder valve after every use.
✅ Never use a match, lighter, or any open flame to check for gas leaks.
✅ If you smell gas, immediately open all doors and windows for ventilation. Avoid turning electrical switches or appliances on or off, as even a small spark can ignite leaking gas.

Fire safety starts with simple precautions. By practicing proper LPG handling, you can help protect your family, your home, and your community from preventable fire incidents.

The Hinunangan Fire Station Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Personnel actively participated by providing Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Standby during the Hinunangan Trail Challenge, ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants throughout the event.

Our EMS personnel remained on-site and ready to respond to any medical emergencies, demonstrating the Bureau of Fire Protection's commitment to protecting lives not only during fires but also in community activities and sporting events.

𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗟𝗧𝗛 & 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗦𝗧 𝗔𝗜𝗗 𝗧𝗜𝗣𝗦 | 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗗𝗼 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀

Fainting can happen unexpectedly due to heat, dehydration, low blood sugar, stress, or other medical conditions. Knowing the proper first aid can help keep the person safe while waiting for medical assistance.

✅ Here's what you should do:
• Lay the person flat on their back in a safe area.
• Raise their legs about 12 inches (30 cm) to help improve blood flow to the brain.
• Loosen any tight clothing, especially around the neck, chest, or waist, to make breathing easier.
• Monitor their breathing and level of consciousness. If they do not regain consciousness within a minute, have difficulty breathing, or were injured during the fall, call 911 or seek immediate medical assistance.

⚠️ Important Reminder:
Do not give food or drinks to someone who is unconscious. Allow them to rest after regaining consciousness, and encourage them to seek medical evaluation if the cause of the fainting is unknown or if it happens repeatedly.

Being prepared with basic first aid knowledge can make a significant difference during an emergency and may even help save a life.
