The ASU Ibajay Library informs the public that it will adopt a 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗿-𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸, operating from:
📅 Monday to Thursday
🕗 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
In line with this arrangement, library personnel will be on a Work-From-Home (WFH) setup every Friday.
📌 This schedule will be implemented until further notice.
📄 Reference: CHED Memorandum No. 117, S. 2026 of the Office of the Chairperson in response to the Executive Order No. 110, Series of 2026 declaring a State of National Energy Emergency, and Memorandum Order Circular No. 114 issued by the Office of the President, this memorandum is hereby issued as an enhancement to the Office Memorandum No. 03-0254, series of 2026 for implementation in all Aklan State University (ASU) campuses starting April 16, 2026 until officially lifted.

📢 𝐀𝐃𝐕𝐈𝐒𝐎𝐑𝐘

In view of the upcoming regular holiday in the Philippines, Maundy Thursday (April 2, 2026), Good Friday (April 3, 2026), and Black Saturday (April 4, 2026) —and in consideration of the University’s current compressed workweek arrangement, the following temporary office schedule guidelines shall be observed:

𝟏. 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝟖-𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞
From 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟑𝟎-𝟑𝟏, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, all administrative offices shall revert to the standard 8-hour onsite work schedule (8:00 AM–5:00 PM) in lieu of the 10-hour compressed workweek arrangement.

𝟐. 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤-𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦-𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬
On 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟏, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, all personnel—both teaching and non-teaching—shall be on a work-from-home arrangement in the morning, with classes and work suspended in the afternoon. This excludes essential administrative functions and personnel who are part of the Faith Tourism working committees.

𝟑. 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬
All classes and other curricular activities are suspended from April 2–4, 2026, in observance of the Holy Week. There shall also be no office transactions during this period.

Office operations will resume on Monday, April 6, 2026.

An official memorandum will be issued for further details. The whole ASU community and the public are advised to be guided accordingly.

In view of the observance of XIX Martyrs of Aklan Day on March 23, 2026, and in line with the current work arrangements at Aklan State University, the following guidelines shall be observed:

1. “No Onsite Day”
March 23, 2026 (Monday), in observance of XIX Martyrs of Aklan Day, shall be implemented as a “No Onsite Day” across the University.

2. Reversion to the standard 8-hour schedule
From Tuesday to Friday, March 24–27, 2026, all administrative offices shall revert to the standard 8-hour onsite work schedule (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) instead of the 10-hour compressed workweek arrangement.

In view of the upcoming holidays—March 18, 2026 for the Liberation of Panay and March 20, 2026 in observance of Eid al-Fitr—and in line with the current compressed workweek arrangements at Aklan State University, the following temporary office schedule guidelines will be observed:

1. Holidays during the workweek
The Liberation of Panay (March 18, 2026) and Eid al-Fitr (March 20, 2026) are regular holidays to be observed by the University.

2. Holiday as the designated “No Onsite Day”

📢 𝐀𝐃𝐕𝐈𝐒𝐎𝐑𝐘: ASU to Implement Four-Day Onsite Work Week Under Energy Conservation Protocols
Pursuant to Memorandum Order No. 03-0254, Series of 2026, issued by the Office of the University President, and in accordance with Memorandum Circular No. 114, Series of 2026 issued by Malacañang, Aklan State University shall adopt a four-day onsite work arrangement through a compressed workweek or a designated common work-from-home day, aligned with CSC MC 6 (2022) and CSC MC 1 (2025), effective March 10, 2026, until lifted by the President of the Republic.
Under this arrangement:
•All office personnel shall report on-site from Monday to Thursday following a compressed work week schedule, 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM; 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM. Offices shall ensure continuous delivery of services during the prescribed working days.

• Classes scheduled on Saturday (Undergraduate and Graduate) shall be conducted via synchronous or asynchronous modality except for Comprehensive Examinations, which shall be onsite.
• NSTP and RLE instructions will proceed as scheduled.
• Faculty members designated as University or Campus Officials may opt for compressed workweek based on section 2 or 3, prioritizing their scheduled Friday classes.
• Units responsible for safety and security, crops and livestock projects must remain fully operational and are exempted from four-day work week.
• Cafeteria and lodging/dormitory personnel may be requested to report on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, provided there are scheduled events and guest bookings approved by the University President.
