25/02/2026

February 25 marks the 40th year since the People Power Revolution, a pivotal chapter in our nationโ€™s history that affirmed the strength of peaceful collective action and renewed the countryโ€™s democratic institutions.

Four decades later, the spirit of EDSA continues to remind us that democracy thrives when citizens remain informed, engaged, and united in purpose. It stands as a testament to the Filipino peopleโ€™s resolve to uphold freedom, dignity, and the rule of law.

In commemorating this milestone, the University renews its dedication to nurturing critical minds, safeguarding academic freedom, and promoting respect for human rights. As an academic community, we share the responsibility of shaping a future grounded in truth, accountability, and social justice.

May the legacy of EDSA inspire us all to contribute meaningfully to building a fair, inclusive, and democratic Philippines.
