A total of 45 individuals availed oral health consultations, 45 residents underwent medical consultations, 11 individuals participated in the blood donation drive, four women availed breast and cervical cancer screening, and 32 residents received free haircut and grooming services in an effort to bring essential healthcare services closer to geographically isolated communities during the Mental Health and Drug Prevention Advocacy cm Panalimun (PuroKalusugan) Program conducted in Namal.

The activity gathered healthcare workers, local officials, and community residents for a series of IEC sessions and healthcare services focused on mental health awareness, substance abuse prevention, gender sensitivity, and other health-related concerns through the Panalimun (PuroKalusugan) Program.

Punong Barangay Grace L. Tayaban underscored the importance of promoting mental wellness, preventing substance abuse, and strengthening community-based health initiatives during the opening program. Public Health Nurse Mar Shallaine D. Afalla also outlined the objectives and significance of the advocacy program in advancing health awareness and encouraging community participation. The IEC sessions were facilitated by healthcare personnel and social service workers. Midwife May Faith Cabbigat led the discussion on Cervical and Breast Cancer Awareness, emphasizing early detection and regular screening among women.

Meanwhile, Social Worker I Ophelia G. Elder facilitated the session on Gender Awareness and Sensitivity, focusing on respect, equality, and understanding of gender-related issues within the community.

Nurse II Melaida T. Gahid spearheaded the discussion on Mental Health Awareness and Drug Prevention, including substance Abuse and Anti-Smoking Advocacy. The session tackled common mental health concerns, stress management, the effects of drug abuse and smoking, and the importance of seeking support and practicing healthy coping mechanisms. Participants actively engaged in the discussions through queries and the sharing of insights related to the topics presented.

Facilitators also conducted a session on Psychological First Aid prior to the rollout of healthcare services under the Panalimun (PuroKalusugan) Program. Medical consultations were rendered by Municipal Health Officer Dr. Mianie N. Licyayo-Umalco and DTTB Dr. Feonna Dale Sagoco. HEADSSS Assessment conducted by Joreen Bang-ud and Cherry Ann Baguilat and the PHILPEN Risk Assessment facilitated by Michael Codamon. Additional services included the Laboratory services, carried out by Sienna Jobelyn Pukayon and Camille Joy D. Ocampo, while dental services were provided by Dr. Lynette Buhong-Pullupul. Midwife May Faith Cabbigat also facilitated cervical and breast cancer screening services. A blood donation drive was also conducted in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross through the assistance of Maureen Balallo. Free haircut and grooming services were rendered by MAGPTD member Christopher โ€œJhamzโ€ Morales.

Marcelyn Bonhaon, MAGPTD member, conveyed appreciation to all participants, facilitators, healthcare workers, and partner agencies for their active participation and support in the success of the program.

To deliver accessible healthcare services to geographically isolated communities, a second Mental Health Awareness and Drug Prevention Advocacy cm Panalimun Program was successfully conducted on May 22, 2026, at Natcak, Camandag.

A total of 51 individuals availed dental services, 21 underwent laboratory services, two completed the HEADSSS Assessment, 12 participated in Random Drug Testing, 11 joined the blood donation drive, 14 underwent PHILPEN Risk Assessment, and 45 residents availed PhilHealth services.

Meanwhile, 14 women underwent breast and cervical cancer screening, with one client referred for mammogram after testing positive, while 11 clients underwent Vaginal Inspection with Acetic Acid, wherein one client tested positive and was referred to a higher healthcare facility.

During the activity, Punong Barangay Mario Bacdangan emphasized the importance of community participation in promoting health awareness and preventive healthcare initiatives. Municipal Health Officer Dr. Mianie N. Licyayo-Umalco highlighted the significance of mental health advocacy, drug prevention, and early health interventions in strengthening community health programs. Midwife II Genelyne L. Dulnuan discussed the objectives of the program during the opening activity.

Sixteen pregnant iAsipulo mothers from Camandag, Natcak, and Duli participated during the last of the Buntis Congress conducted by the MHO this month. The Buntis Congress focused on safe pregnancy, proper nutrition, and maternal wellness. The activity aimed to reinforce maternal and child health awareness and promote safe motherhood practices through a series of IEC sessions designed to equip expectant mothers with essential knowledge on pregnancy care, nutrition, and healthy child development.

Punong Barangay Mario Bacdangan expressed strong support for maternal and child health programs. He encouraged pregnant women to actively engage in health promotion activities and maximize available health services to ensure safe pregnancy and improved maternal outcomes. Public Health Nurse Marshallaine Afalla emphasized the objectives of the Buntis Congress in strengthening maternal health awareness and promoting evidence-based health practices within the community. Municipal Health Officer Dr. Mianie N. Licyayo-Umalco delivered a message underscoring the importance of proper maternal care, regular prenatal consultations, and the consistent practice of healthy behaviors throughout pregnancy to safeguard both maternal and neonatal health.

Dr. Lynette Buhong-Pullupul further strengthened the learning sessions with a lecture on Oral Health Care During Pregnancy, emphasizing the critical role of oral hygiene and dental care in supporting overall maternal and child health outcomes.

Bringing essential health services and education closer to communities, and to strengthening efforts toward safe motherhood and healthier families, the MHO personnel gathered ten pregnant iAsipulo mothers from Namal, Nangkatengey, Lab-ong, and Nampaling during the Buntis Congress conducted on May 19, 2026.
The program opened with a Candle Lighting and HIV/AIDS awareness activity that underscored solidarity and reinforced the importance of health consciousness and wellness advocacy among families and communities.

Barangay Kagawad Agustin Bangadon expressed strong support for maternal health initiatives. He urged pregnant women to actively engage in health promotion activities and utilize available maternal health services to ensure safe and healthy pregnancies. The Municipal Health Office facilitated a series of IEC sessions designed to equip expectant mothers with essential knowledge on pregnancy care and child health. PHN Marshallaine D. Sixteen pregnant Cawayan mothers joined the second Buntis Congress conducted by the Municipal Health Office on May 15, 2026. Personnel from the MHO and Deoartment of Health led by Midwife II, Genelyne L. Dulnuan, focal person of the program, facilitated the various sessions aimed at increasing awareness on proper pregnancy care and healthy motherhood practices.

Rodaliza Guzman highlighted the objectives and significance of the Buntis Congress in promoting safe motherhood and empowering iAsipulo mothers through health education.

Villa Chiweran facilitated the IEC session and interactive forum, where she discussed key topics such as the First 1000 Days ni Baby, the importance of regular prenatal check-ups, healthy lifestyle practices, Pinggang Pinoy, and the 10 Kumainments. She also provided participants with valuable insights on proper nutrition, maternal care, and healthy habits essential for healthy pregnancy and child development.

The pregnant mothers actively participated in the open forum by raising questions and sharing their experiences related to pregnancy and maternal wellness, making the discussion more engaging and meaningful.

Fifty pregnant women from the barangays of Antipolo, Amduntog, Liwon, P**a, Panubtuban, Haliap, and Nungawa gathered for a meaningful day of learning, awareness, and empowerment in the first of the four Buntis Congress conducted by the Municipal Health Office around Asipulo. The activity, anchored on the theme, โ€œCelebrating Pregnant Women: Nurturing Life, Ensuring Healthโ€ aimed to strengthen maternal health awareness and improve the well-being of pregnant women through comprehensive health education, nutrition advocacy, and access to essential maternal healthcare information and services.

Public Health Nurse Marshallaine Afalla discussed essential topics including the First 1000 Days ni Baby, Healthy Lifestyle Practices, Pinggang Pinoy, and the 10 Kumainments.

The guest speaker, Dr. Marissa Cruz-Espedido, Obstetrician-Gynecologist, delivered a comprehensive lecture on the importance of proper maternal care, regular prenatal consultations, and maintaining a healthy pregnancy to ensure the safety of both mother and child.

Meanwhile, Dr. Feonna Dale Sagoco, Doctor to the Barrios, discussed the relevance of laboratory examinations during pregnancy and actively engaged with participants during the open forum by addressing their questions and concerns regarding maternal health.
