Negosyo Center Igbaras, in partnership with DSWD VI and the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) of Igbaras, conducted a Basic Business Management, Financial Literacy, and Simple Bookkeeping Seminar for the members of the BAGPAO SLP Association in Brgy. Bagacay, Igbaras, Iloilo. The activity aimed to strengthen their entrepreneurial capabilities by providing them with fundamental knowledge and skills in managing their businesses effectively.

Participants learned key concepts in business management, including goal setting, basic planning, and proper handling of business resources. They also gained valuable insights into financial literacy, such as budgeting, saving, and managing cash flow, skills essential for making sound financial decisions both in their households and businesses.

The seminar also focused on simple bookkeeping, where participants were taught how to record daily transactions and maintain accurate financial records. Through practical exercises, they were able to apply what they learned, boosting their confidence in managing their own business finances. The activity empowered the group with tools they can use to sustain and grow their livelihood initiatives.

Ramel Food Products Secures IPOPHL Trademark Registration

Ramel’s Food Products, proudly owned by Ramel Endencio of Sitio Buyuan, Barangay Tigbanaba, Igbaras, has successfully registered its trademark with the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL). This milestone marks a significant step forward in protecting his brand and expanding his business. Ramel started with roasted ground coffee made from beans grown on his land and later introduced Batuan Jam, Cacao Tablea, and Honey, products that reflect the rich agricultural heritage of Igbaras.

The Negosyo Center Igbaras provided hands-on guidance throughout the process, from initial consultations to documentation and submission, highlighting its commitment to empowering MSMEs through formalization, branding, and business development support. This breakthrough not only benefits Ramel but also paves the way for other local entrepreneurs to pursue trademark registration, brand protection, and wider market opportunities.
