Municipal Arc Design Competition
Title: โA Boundary-to-Boundary Arc Design Competitionโ
Scope: From Barangay Bayo (Traditional Arc) to Barangay Baculud (One-Sided Arc)
Participants: Open to all designers, architects, and artists โ both residents and non-residents of Iguig
Mechanics and Guidelines
Eligibility
The contest is open to all interested individuals or groups, including professional designers, architects, engineers, artists, and students, whether residents or non-residents of Iguig.
Collaboration is allowed, but each team or individual may submit only one (1) entry.

Participants must submit two arc designs:
1. A Traditional Welcome Arc for Barangay Bayo, representing the main entrance to Iguig.
2. A One-Sided Exit Arc for Barangay Baculud, representing the exit boundary of the municipality.
3. Both arcs must reflect a cohesive and unified design language that highlights the heritage, values, and vision of the Municipality of Iguig.

The design should:
โBe original, symbolic, and culturally grounded
โIncorporate local elements, colors, or motifs that represent Iguig
โBe durable, structurally sound, and able to withstand local climate conditions
โBe feasible in terms of budget and use locally available materials if possible
โInclude space for the municipal seal, welcome/goodbye text, and optional tagline
โBe scaled and annotated with clear dimensions.

โข Participants must submit the following:
Colored renderings or 3D views of both arc designs (Bayo & Baculud)
โข Orthographic projections (front, side, top views)
โข Detailed description and rationale (max 300 words)
โข Estimated material list or brief cost concept (optional but encouraged)
Format: Digital files in JPEG, PNG, or PDF

โขAll submissions will be reviewed by the panel of judges, including municipal officials, architects, engineers, and cultural representatives.
โขOne winning entry will be selected and adopted as the official design for both boundary arcs of the Municipality of Iguig.

The winning designer/team will receive:
โCash prize;
1st Prize: 20, 000.00

โFull credit during the unveiling and implementation of the arcs
Ownership and Rights
โขBy submitting an entry, participants grant the Municipality of Iguig the right to use, modify, or reproduce the design for implementation and promotional purposes.
โขDesigners will be properly credited.

(Visual appeal, harmony with the surrounding landscape, and symbolic strength)

(Consideration of affordability and use of accessible materials)
