The ISU-ILAGAN ROTC Unit reached another milestone in its pursuit of discipline and military proficiency during the 9th Training Day held on March 21, 2026, at the Isabela State University-Ilagan campus. Under the steady guidance of LTC DARWIN A MANALO (GSC) QMS PA, Commandant, and CPT AL BRYAN L VILLANUEVA (QMS) PA, Assistant Commandant, the training was expertly coordinated by SGT OLIVER G MARAMAG (MI) PA, Admin NCO, and Sgt Leroy G Ammugauan PA (Res), ROTC Coordinator. This session focused on refining ceremonial standards while deepening the cadets' foundational military knowledge.

The day’s activities opened with the traditional "Pasa-Masid" (Pass-in-Review). The cadets filled the grounds with precision and pride, demonstrating their mastery of synchronized movements and drill commands. This ceremony continues to be a cornerstone of the unit's training, reflecting the sharp military bearing and collective spirit of the corps.

Moving from the parade ground to specialized instruction, the training shifted toward enhancing the tactical and theoretical knowledge of the cadets. The lectures emphasized the critical role of a reservist in national security, focusing on the core values of leadership and duty. By challenging the cadets to think critically about their roles, the unit ensures that they are not only physically prepared but also intellectually equipped for service.

As the semester progresses, the ISU-ILAGAN ROTC Unit remains dedicated to molding well-rounded student-leaders. Through the balance of rigorous field drills and classroom-based learning, the unit continues to set a high standard for excellence and community service within the university.

The ISU-ILAGAN ROTC Unit once again displayed its commitment to military excellence and academic integrity during its 8th Training Day on 14 March 2026, held at the Isabela State University-Ilagan campus. Under the continued leadership of LTC DARWIN A MANALO (GSC) QMS PA, Commandant, and CPT AL BRYAN L VILLANUEVA (QMS) PA, Assistant Commandant, coordinated by SGT OLIVER G MARAMAG (MI) PA, Admin NCO, and Sgt Leroy G Ammugauan PA (Res), ROTC Coordinator. the unit balanced the precision of ceremonial movements with the critical tactical and theoretical knowledge required of modern reservists.

The morning commenced with the high-energy ex*****on of the "Pasa-Masid" (Pass-in-Review). This traditional ceremony showcased the cadets' discipline, synchronization, and mastery of drill and ceremonies, serving as a visual testament to the unit's cohesion and sharp military bearing.

Following the review, the focus shifted to tactical proficiency as Sgt Jay-ar Tamayo PA (Res) led a comprehensive discussion on the Importance of Battle Drills. These essential maneuvers are the building blocks of small-unit tactics, designed to ensure rapid, coordinated responses under pressure. By instilling these "automatic" reactions, the training ensures that every cadet is prepared to act decisively in the interest of national defense.

Transitioning from the field to the classroom, the unit capped the day by conducting the Midterm Examinations. This academic milestone serves to evaluate the cadets' understanding of the military science and leadership principles taught throughout the semester. By integrating physical discipline with intellectual assessment, the ISU-ILAGAN ROTC Unit continues to develop well-rounded leaders ready to serve the community and the nation.

The ISU-ILAGAN ROTC Unit demonstrated its commitment to both service and skill-building during its 7th Training Day on 07 March 2026, held at the Isabela State University-Ilagan campus. Under the continued guidance of LTC DARWIN A MANALO (GSC) QMS PA, Commandant, and CPT AL BRYAN L VILLANUEVA (QMS) PA, Assistant Commandant, the unit transitioned from tactical maneuvers to a profound display of civic duty and technical expertise. In a significant tribute to the 129th Anniversary of the Philippine Army, the unit participated in a Simultaneous Blood Donation Activity. This PA-wide initiative underscores the Army's role as "Protectors of the People," extending beyond defense to humanitarian aid.

Cadets, officers, and staff volunteered to donate, embodying the spirit of Kagitingan (Valor) through a different kind of sacrifice. The activity, coordinated by SGT OLIVER G MARAMAG (MI) PA and Sgt Leroy G Ammugauan PA (Res), highlighted the vital importance of maintaining a steady blood supply for both military personnel and the local community during emergencies.

Following the donation drive, the training shifted toward the "nervous system" of the battlefield: Signal Communication. Led by Sgt Raymond A Bangug PA(Res), the session provided cadets with a deep dive into the technicalities of maintaining a clear line of command. Sgt Bangug emphasized that without communication, even the best-laid plans crumble.
