The Public Order and Safety Management Office (POSMO) rendered traffic management and public assistance services during the funeral rites and final interment of the late Lourdes “Lola Tucing” Laggui Diaz, beloved mother of City Mayor Josemarie L. Diaz.

To ensure the orderly movement of vehicles and the safety of the public, POSMO personnel were strategically deployed along designated routes from the Our Mother of Perpetual Help Chapel (Black House) to Ilagan Memorial Park. Through coordinated operations and active field presence, the office assisted in maintaining traffic flow and preserving order throughout the solemn observance.

As family, friends, and members of the Ilagueño community gathered to offer their final prayers and pay their last respects, POSMO carried out its responsibilities with professionalism, compassion, and respect, providing the necessary traffic and public assistance services throughout the activity.

In this time of profound grief, the Public Order and Safety Management Office joins the City Government of Ilagan and the entire Ilagueño community in extending heartfelt condolences and sincere prayers to the bereaved family. The public is respectfully informed that on May 30, 2026, at 6:00 AM, moderate to heavy traffic is expected along roads leading to the Our Mother of Perpetual Help Chapel (Black House) up to the final resting place at Ilagan Memorial Park in connection with the funeral services and final interment of the late Lourdes “Lola Tucing” Laggui Diaz, beloved mother of our Honorable City Mayor Josemarie Laggui Diaz.

Motorists are advised to anticipate possible traffic delays and are encouraged to take alternative routes whenever practicable. To help ensure the orderly flow of traffic and the safety of the public, personnel from the Public Order and Safety Management Office (POSMO) will be strategically deployed along affected areas to provide traffic direction, road assistance, and guidance to motorists and pedestrians throughout the duration of the solemn activity.

PUBLIC ADVISORY

The public is hereby informed that the 2nd Grand Alumni Homecoming of Ilagan West Central School will be held tomorrow, May 16, 2026. As part of the celebration, a Walkcade activity is scheduled to commence at 6:00 AM.

The procession will assemble in front of the City Hall of Ilagan and proceed towards Ilagan West Central School. Participants will strictly utilize the right lane only of the roadway to ensure that traffic flow on the remaining lane remains uninterrupted.

Traffic management personnel will be strategically deployed along the route to assist motorists and participants, and to maintain order and safety throughout the activity.

Motorists are advised to anticipate light traffic congestion within the affected area, observe road courtesy, and follow the directions of assigned personnel. The public is encouraged to plan their travel accordingly.
