Mga mag-aaral ng ISU Roxas, matagumpay na natapos ang internship training sa DILG Isabela

Binigyan ng pagkilala ng Kagawaran ng Interyor at Pamahalaang Lokal (DILG) Isabela ang anim (6) na mag-aaral mula sa Isabela State University – Roxas Campus matapos nilang matagumpay na makumpleto ang kanilang internship training sa tanggapan.

Ang mga kinilalang interns ay sina Jerwin Soriano, Princess Mae Caliboso, Reggie Garcia Jr., Generson Agustin, Marie Joy Rosete, at Marie Claire Rosete na pawang kumukuha ng kursong Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT).

Nagsimula ang kanilang internship noong ika-02 ng Pebrero 2026 at matagumpay nilang natapos ang kabuuang 486 oras ng internship training sa DILG Isabela. Sa buong panahon ng kanilang pagsasanay, ipinamalas nila ang kanilang dedikasyon, kasanayan, at propesyonalismo sa pagtupad ng kanilang mga tungkulin at mga gawaing itinalaga sa kanila.

Naging mahalagang bahagi ang mga estudyante sa paggawa at pagbuo ng Gender and Development (GAD) e-Corner ng DILG Isabela. Sa pamamagitan ng kanilang kaalaman at teknikal na kakayahan, nakatulong sila sa pagpapalakas ng digital initiatives ng tanggapan at sa pagsusulong ng mas episyente at mas accessible na pagbibigay ng impormasyon kaugnay ng Gender and Development programs ng ahensya.

Samantala, nagpahayag naman ng taos-pusong pasasalamat ang mga mag-aaral sa pamilyang DILG Isabela para sa mainit na pagtanggap sa kanila sa buong panahon ng kanilang internship. Ibinahagi rin nila ang kanilang pagpapahalaga sa mga kaalaman, karanasan, at kasanayang kanilang natutunan na tiyak nilang magagamit sa kanilang magiging propesyon sa hinaharap.

Go Live 911 of BFP Region 2 Satellite Command Center, activated

The Bureau of Fire Protection Region 2 officially launched the BFP Region 2 Satellite Command Center for full operational use on May 10, 2026 at the BFP Fire Station in San Fermin, Cauayan City, Isabela.

In her message, FSSUPT Victoria A Domingo, DSC, Regional Director, BFP Region 2, emphasized that the establishment of the Satellite Command Center represents another milestone in improving real-time coordination and delivering more responsive and efficient public safety services to communities throughout Region 2.

Meanwhile, Engr. Corazon D. Toribio, CESO V, Provincial Director, DILG Isabela, expressed her full support for the activation of the Go Live 911 Region 2 Satellite Command Center. Despite the challenges encountered in public service, she encouraged all personnel and stakeholders to remain steadfast in their duties and continue choosing what is right for the country. To end, she commended the BFP for strengthening fire protection, emergency response, and public safety through stronger partnerships among stakeholders in the region.

The event was also graced by FSSUPT Neil Z Caranguian, Acting Regional Director for Operations, BFP Region 2, FSUPT Erwin L Casil, DSC, Provincial Fire Marshal of Isabela, representatives from PNP Cauayan City Police headed by PLTCOL Avelino D Canceran Jr and other key stakeholders.

The Go Live Activation of BFP Region 2 Satellite Command Center marks a significant advancement in strengthening emergency communication systems and enhancing disaster and emergency response coordination across the region.

Love, Hope, and New Beginnings: Former Rebels Tie the Knot on Their Journey to Reintegration

In a powerful testament to transformation, resilience, and the enduring spirit of love, two former members of the New People’s Army (NPA) formally sealed their commitment to each other through marriage on April 30, 2026, while under the care of government reintegration programs.

The marriage ceremony took place at the Halfway House of the province - the very facility where they are temporarily residing as they undergo their reintegration process. The Halfway house, a symbol of transition and renewal, served as a fitting venue for a union rooted in second chances and shared hope.

Currently undergoing reintegration, the newlyweds are beneficiaries of the government’s comprehensive support system, which includes psychosocial services, livelihood assistance, and skills training. These programs aim to ensure that former rebels transition smoothly into mainstream society with stability, and renewed purpose.

Officials (from law enforcement agencies, representatives from the provincial government, and other national government agencies) present during the ceremony served as Principal Sponsors during the ceremony. The couple’s story stands as an inspiration to others still in the armed struggle, proving that a different path is possible—one that leads to reconciliation, stability, and fulfillment.

As the government continues to intensify its peace and development initiatives, stories like theirs serve as a reminder that lasting peace is achieved not only through policy and programs, but through compassion, inclusion, and the unwavering belief in every individual’s capacity to change.
