𝐃𝐎𝐓 𝐑𝟐 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐬 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐦 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐬𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐚

The Department of Tourism (DOT) Region 2 conducted a Tourism Product Development Workshop in May 16-17, 2026, in the Municipality of Maconacon as part of its continuing efforts to strengthen and enhance the tourism potential of Isabela’s coastal municipalities.

The activity gathered tourism officers, planning officers, and MENRO personnel from the municipalities of Maconacon, Palanan, and Divilacan to foster collaboration in tourism planning and destination development.

The workshop focused on tourism site profiling, itinerary planning, and tourism circuit development to help local stakeholders create sustainable and market-ready tourism products. Participants were also provided with practical discussions and strategies on identifying and packaging unique tourism assets into meaningful visitor experiences.

The activity forms part of the five-day site assessment in the coastal towns of Maconacon, Divilacan, and Palanan to evaluate the readiness and development potential of identified tourism sites.

The initiative supports the development of the “Isabela Coast: Your Island Toast” Tourism Circuit, which aims to position Isabela’s coastal destinations as emerging tourism gems offering nature, culture, and adventure experiences for both local and international travelers.

Once again, the City Tourism Office successfully conducted the RAMPARAKALIKASAN Program of the City Government held at the Ilagan Sanctuary, promoting environmental awareness, unity, and community participation while encouraging everyone to help protect and preserve our natural resources.

This project is under the leadership of Mayor Josemarie L. Diaz, who continues to prioritize environmental protection and the maintenance of cleanliness in the community through meaningful and sustainable programs.

Happy Feast Day of San Isidro Labrador, San Isidro!

Today we honor Saint Isidore the Farmer, the patron saint of farmers, laborers, and agricultural workers, celebrated every May 15. His life reflects simplicity, faith, and dedication showing how honest work and prayer go hand in hand.

In San Isidro Labrador Parish, the celebration is marked with novena prayers, Holy Masses, and processions that bring the community together in gratitude and devotion. It is also a meaningful time for farmers and families to thank God for a good harvest and to pray for continued blessings.

Happy Feast Day of St. Isidore Parish, Aurora!

On May 15, we celebrate the Feast Day of Saint Isidore the Farmer, the patron saint of farmers, agricultural workers, and rural communities. His life reminds us that hard work, when guided by faith and humility, becomes a meaningful act of prayer and service.

The Patronal Fiesta culminates the novena celebrations held from May 6–17, 2026, along with the visitation of the saint’s image to barangay chapels bringing blessings closer to the community.

May his example continue to inspire us to live with devotion, kindness, and gratitude.

Happy Feast Day, St. Matthias!

On May 14, we honor the Feast Day of Saint Matthias (San Matias), the patron saint of this historic church in Tumauini. Recognized as a National Cultural Treasure, the church is celebrated for its remarkable Baroque architecture and enduring spiritual significance. The celebration features novena Masses and a concelebrated Mass in honor of the parish’s patron saint, bringing together the faithful in prayer and devotion.
