A step closer to creating a safe, inclusive, and empowering space for every Iliganon youth! ✨

The DPWH Validation for the Renovation of the Third Floor of the Barangay Hall of Brgy. Villa Verde into a Digital Youth Hub: A Safe Space for Collaboration, Learning, and Innovation successfully took place last November 14, 2025.

This initiative aims to transform the area into a modern hub where young people can access digital resources, enhance their skills, and cultivate creativity and leadership.

This effort is made possible in collaboration with the Barangay Council and SK Council of Villa Verde, Akbayan Youth – Iligan & Lanao, Akbayan Youth, and Akbayan Partylist—proving that when communities and youth organizations come together, meaningful change becomes possible.

Hon. Salvador Pia “Pitoy” Madrid

It is with deep sorrow and heartfelt grief that we announce the passing of Hon. Salvador Pia “Pitoy” Madrid, Barangay Kagawad of Brgy. Villa Verde, who peacefully joined our Creator on June 30, 2025.

Kagawad Pitoy Madrid was not just a public servant, but a pillar of strength and compassion in our community. He devoted his life in service to the people of Villa Verde — always with humility, sincerity, and an unwavering commitment to the welfare of all.

His leadership, generosity, and kind spirit will forever be remembered and cherished by those whose lives he touched.

We extend our deepest condolences and prayers to the bereaved Madrid family during this difficult time. May we find comfort in knowing that his legacy of service will continue to inspire us all.

Rest in peace, Hon. Salvador “Pitoy” Madrid.

Hunyo 12, 2025 — Napuno sa espiritu sa pagtinabangay ug serbisyo publiko ang Barangay Multi-Purpose Gym sa Villa Verde atol sa usa ka malampusong medical mission, pinaagi sa panaghiusa sa Barangay Council, SK Villa Verde, ug ni Vice Mayor-elect Wekwek Uy, kauban ang Philippine Red Cross, Grupo Kaaliman, 11th Special Action Company, ILAW Shared Community, Inc., ug ang Department of Health.

✅ 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱𝗹𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆– Daghang buotan nga donors ang mipartisipar, ug matag usa gihatagan og 5 kilos nga bugas ug itlog isip pasalamat.

✂️ 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝘂𝗹𝗶 – Kapin sa 50 ka batang lalaki ang natulian, nga gihatagan usab og libre nga tambal ug post-op care. Nakadawat sila og "EduCares" Balik Eskwela Kit gikan sa SK.

🧪 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗛𝗜𝗩 𝗦𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 – Daghang residente nga 13 anyos pataas ang may kusog nga mipailawom sa libre nga HIV screening.

🎁 𝗚𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 – Mga partisipante nalipay sa mga gasa isip pahalipay sa ilang pag-apil.

Dako ang pasalamat sa tanang volunteers, donors, ug medical professionals nga nagpakabana. Tinuod, ang Alegre usa ka komunidad nga nagkahiusa para sa kahimsog ug serbisyo!
