City Treasurer Atty. Laurentino P. Badelles, CPA, MDM, attended the 33rd Management Committee (MANCOM) Meeting held at the Ethnic Center, Buhanginan Hills, Iligan City. The meeting was presided over by City Administrator Dr. Darwin J. Manubag, together with Chief of Staff Mr. Jules Verne Padilla and the City’s Department Heads.

The meeting served as an important venue for department heads to discuss updates, accomplishments, concerns, and priority programs. It also strengthened coordination among offices and ensured the continued alignment and efficient implementation of the City Government’s plans, programs, and directives toward better public service for the people of Iligan City.

City Treasurer Atty. Laurentino P. Badelles, CPA, MDM Attended The Management And Executive Meeting With The Secretary Of Finance (SOF) At The Waterfront Hotel Davao, Lanang, Davao City.

The activity, organized by the DOF-Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) XI, brought together local treasurers and assessors for discussions on RPVARA updates, local government financial management, and extractive industries. Also in attendance were Iligan City Assessor Mr. Evan V. Puyos And Acting Assistant City Assessor Mr. Mark James H. Pongase.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to engage with Secretary of Finance Frederick D. Go, BLGF Executive Director Consolacion Q. Agcaoili, and other BLGF officials, strengthening coordination and promoting effective local fiscal management.

City Treasurer Atty. Laurentino P. Badelles, CPA, MDM, Attended The Financial Management And Budgeting Workshop For FY 2027 Organized By The Local School Board Of Iligan City, At The Asenso Misamis Occidental Recreation And Adventure Park (AMORAP).

The Workshop Was Also Attended By City Mayor Hon. Frederick W. Siao, Chairman Of The Local School Board (LSB), Together With The LSB Committee Members.

The activity provided an opportunity to strengthen financial management and budgeting practices, facilitate better planning and resource allocation, and support the effective implementation of programs and projects for the education sector in FY 2027.

The workshop featured discussions by Mr. Welnorr Callao, Senior Budget and Management Specialist (DBM), on Allowable Expenses Chargeable Against the Special Education Fund (SEF), Ms. Hazel L. Occeña, Local Government Operations Officer VII (DILG) on the Overview of Omnibus Guidelines on the Use of the Special Education Fund (SEF), and Ms. Joyce Barga served as the facilitator of the workshop.

The activity aimed to strengthen financial management, budgeting, and proper utilization of the SEF in support of the city’s education programs and services.

Manila, Philippines | August 19, 2026 – The Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF), through the Local Governance Reform Project (LGRP), will host the RPVARA Stakeholders Forum on August 19, 2026, at The Manila Hotel, bringing together private stakeholders, property valuation practitioners, and development partners to discuss the implementation of the Real Property Valuation and Assessment Reform Act (RPVARA).

With the theme, “Credible Value, Shared Future, Aligning with People, Business, and Development with Compassion,” the forum aims to promote a shared understanding of ongoing valuation reforms and strengthen collaboration among stakeholders in achieving a transparent, equitable, and efficient real property valuation system.

The event will feature a keynote address from the Undersecretary of the Legal Services and Local Finance Group of the Department of Finance, Atty. Krystal Lyn T. Uy-Sia, highlighting RPVARA as the main reform agenda in property valuation. Discussions will also cover the Real Property Information System (RPIS), the Computer-Aided Mass Appraisal (CAMA), case study presentation on the development of the Schedule of Market Values (SMVs), followed by an open forum and synthesis of key action points.

The forum underscores the BLGF's commitment to supporting local governments in implementing RPVARA and advancing a modernized property valuation framework that contributes to sustainable local development and improved public service delivery.
