Empowering Futures Through SCALA

The CSWD Youth Division, under the leadership of Solon Gadat Adamat, warmly welcomes the new batch of out-of-school youth availing the Sharing Computer Access Locally and Abroad (SCALA) program. SCALA plays a vital role in equipping participants with essential digital skills and opportunities, empowering them to become more competitive and productive members of society. Also present to support the activity was Sir CJ Santiago of ICTC. The team likewise extends its gratitude to the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) for allowing the use of their facility.

Empowering service with compassion and inclusivity 💜

The City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWD) successfully conducted the Seminar on Capacity Enhancement Workshop on Gender-Responsive Case Management cm Women-Friendly Space last July 27–28, 2026.

The activity was enriched by the expertise of distinguished speakers from DSWD Region X: Ms. Rosane D. Pague, SWO III; Ms. Faith M. Sabulana, SWO III; and Mr. Gideon G. Dahunan. Their insights strengthened our commitment to delivering gender-responsive and client-centered services.

Facilitated by the CSWD Women Division under the supervision of Ms. Lanie Maglangit, the seminar was graced by Hon. Councilor Derrick Siao, Chairman of the Committee on Social Services, and Ms. Evelyn S. Madrio, CSWD Officer.

Together, we continue to build safe, inclusive, and empowering spaces for every woman in our community.

Inspired by the spirit of the Four Nations, this year’s activities will bring together the youth from the four designated districts of Iligan City, united in one celebration of friendship, leadership, creativity, sportsmanship, service, and youth excellence.

CSWD Iligan Serves 518 Clients in July 2026

The City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWD) of Iligan City continues its commitment to delivering compassionate and responsive public service, reaching a total of 518 clients for the month of July 2026 at the CSWD Main Office.

Based on the visitors’ log, the office provided assistance to various sectors: 110 senior citizens, 144 solo parents, 32 persons with disabilities (PWDs), and 12 women under VAWC-related concerns. Additionally, 63 clients affected by disaster-related situations were served, while 157 clients were categorized under other assistance needs.

These figures reflect CSWD’s ongoing dedication to ensuring that every Iliganon—especially the most vulnerable—receives timely and appropriate support. Behind each number is a story of hope, resilience, and the City’s unwavering commitment to serbisyong tapat, may malasakit, at makatao.
