May 25, 2026 — Nalipay kita sa mahinungdanong panagtagbo sa akong opisina uban sa Faculty of Computer Applications – College of Computer Studies sa MSU-IIT ug ni Kag. Doreen Jimenez Doverte alang sa ilang flagship program nga my.ComApps Out-of-School Youth TechUp. Kini nga inisyatiba nagtumong sa paghatag og kahigayonan sa atong out-of-school youth nga makakat-on og digital ug computer skills pinaagi sa hands-on ug community-based nga pagkat-on.

Isip Konsehal, nagpasalamat ko sa maayong pakigtambayayong ug sa ilang dedikasyon sa pag-abli og dugang nga oportunidad alang sa atong kabatan-onan. Dako usab ang akong paglaum nga pinaagi sa my.ComApps OSY TechUp, mas daghang batan-on ang mahatagan og kahibalo, kahanas, ug kumpiyansa aron mahimong mas andam sa umaabot ug mahimong aktibong kabahin sa pag-uswag sa atong komunidad. 💜

Pursuant to the powers vested in the Parliamentary Leadership and in accordance with the Rules of Procedure, the Iligan Youth Parliament 2026 has formally constituted its Standing Committees and designated the respective Committee Chairpersons who shall oversee the legislative business referred to their jurisdictions.

As key leaders of the Parliament, they are entrusted with guiding committee proceedings and fostering productive collaboration in pursuit of responsive and inclusive governance.

Congratulations to our Committee Chairpersons. Your leadership will help shape the voice and vision of the youth of Iligan.

Iligan City — Young leaders participating in the Iligan Youth Parliament 2026 are currently immersed in a dynamic Parliamentary Simulation and Coaching activity organized by the 𝐒𝐊 𝐅𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲, in partnership with the 𝐈𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 (𝐈𝐂𝐘𝐃𝐎) and 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐍𝐘𝐂)

The activity provides delegates with a hands-on learning experience in legislative and parliamentary processes, allowing them to develop a deeper understanding of the rules, protocols, and procedures that govern deliberative assemblies. Through a series of coaching sessions, participants are being trained on the proper conduct of parliamentary proceedings, from the call to order and adoption of the agenda to committee deliberations, privilege speeches, interpellations, and the consideration of motions and resolutions.

The Iligan Youth Parliament 2026 stands as a testament to the commitment of local and national youth institutions in empowering the next generation of leaders—equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and parliamentary acumen necessary to become effective advocates, legislators, and public servants in the future.
