Pailig was established by a group of concerned professionals who firmly believed in the democratic principles of people empowerment as a vehicle towards sustainable development. it was originally organized in 1997 and was formally registered in the Philippines' Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in November 1998 and was awarded legal personality through registration certificate number H1998-00559. Pailig's purpose has always been to share our expertise in developing and strengthening development organizations - peace advocates' institutions, NGO's and member-owned cooperatives associations - with rural people development and emerging economies. our practical, participatory-oriented approach to rural development is rooted in the knowledge of our partners, as well as the experience of the institutions we work with.
