The Iligan City Police Office – CIDMU Task Force OSAEC successfully conducted an Entrapment and Rescue Operation that led to the apprehension of a female facilitator (mother) for the alleged violation of Republic Act No. 11930 (Anti-OSAEC and Anti-CSAEM Act) and the safe rescue of a two-year-old female child victim.

On August 5, 2026, the Iligan City Police Office Task Force OSAEC, serving as the lead unit, successfully conducted an Entrapment and Rescue Operation along Cabili Avenue, Brgy. Poblacion, Iligan City for the violation of Republic Act No. 11930 (Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children and Anti-Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials Act). Republic Act No. 9208 (Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003), Republic Act No. 7610, enacted on June 17, 1992, is known as the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act

The operation resulted in the apprehension of a 22-year-old female facilitator (mother) and the safe rescue of a two-year-old female child victim. The rescued child was immediately turned over to the City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD) – Children Assessment and Processing Center for proper care, protection, and intervention, while the suspect was brought to ICPS 5 for appropriate legal procedures.

This successful operation was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the ICPO Task Force OSAEC, ICPS 5, CIDMU, RIDMD 10, WCPC-MFU, PAOCC, DOJ RACETTF 10, DOJ Iligan City Prosecutor’s Office, and CSWD Iligan City.

The operation was led by PMAJ ALEXANDER C. LAWAN, Team Leader of ICPO Task Force OSAEC, under the supervision of PLTCOL REYNANTE DOLDOL, Chief, CIDMU, and with the overall supervision of PCOL MARIO M. BAQUIRAN, JR, City Director, ICPO.

The operation was conducted with the active support of DOJ NCC-OSAEC-CSAEM, International Justice Mission Philippines (IJM), and together with our international law enforcement agency partners, the Netherlands Police, United Kingdom National Crime Agency (UKNCA), and the Australian Federal Police for their continued assistance, collaboration, and shared commitment in protecting children and strengthening law enforcement efforts against online exploitation.

We also sincerely thank the Local Government Unit of Iligan City and the City Mayor Freddie Siao Frederick Siao for their unwavering support and commitment in protecting the children of our community.

The Iligan City Police Office remains steadfast in its commitment to protecting every child from online sexual abuse and exploitation. We encourage everyone to remain vigilant and immediately report any suspected cases of OSAEC. JUSTICE SERVED. ACCOUNTABILITY CONTINUES‼️

Service of WOA of Top 6 City Level for the crime of QUALIFIED TRAFFICKING IN PERSONS in relation to SIMACHO At about 6:50 PM of July 24, 2026, at Iligan City Jail, Prk 5, Brgy. Tipanoy, Iligan City a.k.a JEN female, 26years old, single, jobless and a resident of Brgy.Tambacan, Iligan City. Personnel of Task Force OSAEC CIDMU, under the supervision of PMAJ ALEXANDER LAWAN Led Unit, Personnel/Tracker Team of PS4, ICPO under the supervision of PCPT MICHAELANGELO C ROLDAN, OIC, ICPS 4 together with personnel of ICMFC under the supervision of PLTCOL MARK KENNETH S SALVACION, AFC, Tracker team of LDN CRT/RACU 10 under the supervision of PMAJ MA. NEMELYND C ENCABO, and personnel of Police Station 6, with the over all supervision of PLTCOL MARION M. BAQUIRAN JR., City Director Iligan City jointly conducted operation against MWP at the aforementioned place that resulted in the successful service warrant of arrest of the accused for the crime of QUALIFIED TRAFFICKING IN PERSONS docketed under 26-33180 issued and signed by HON. ARASSAD MACARAMPAT MACUMBAL of RTC, Branch 02, 10th Judicial Region, Iligan City, Lanao Del Norte, with No bail bond recommended dated July 23, 2026.

This accomplishment reflects the unwavering commitment of the Philippine National Police and its partner agencies to protect vulnerable individuals, especially children, and to ensure that those who exploit and abuse others are brought before the law.
We commend the dedication, teamwork, and professionalism of all operating units whose collective efforts made this operation successful.
Human trafficking has no place in our community. Justice will continue to prevail, and we remain steadfast in safeguarding every child's right to a safe and secure future.

A successful joint law enforcement operation in Brgy. Tibanga, Iligan City led to the arrest of one suspect for violation of R.A. 9208 (Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act) and the rescue of two female victims.

ENTRAPMENT AND RESCUE OPERATION

One suspect was apprehended and two children were successfully rescued during a joint rescue operation for violations of R.A. 9208 (Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act) and R.A. 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act).

The Iligan City Police Office (ICPO), through the Task Force OSAEC as the lead unit, successfully conducted an Entrapment and Rescue Operation on June 24, 2026, at Purok 5, Barangay Tibanga, Iligan City, resulting in the apprehension of one suspect for violation of R.A. 9208 (Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act).

The operation also led to the arrest of the suspect and rescue of One female minor victim and One female victim, reaffirming the commitment of law enforcement agencies and partner organizations in protecting vulnerable individuals, especially children, from abuse, and trafficking.

This successful operation was made possible through the collaborative efforts of ICPO Task Force OSAEC led by PMAJ ALEXANDER LAWAN, under the supervision of PLTCOL REYNANTE DOLDOL, With over all supervision of PCOL MARIO M. BAQUIRAN JR., City Director, ICPO, together with ICPS 5, RIDMD 10, WCPC-MFU, PAOCC, DOJ RACETTF 10, DOJ Iligan City Prosecutors Office, CSWD-Iligan City.
