ICPO TASK FORCE AGAINST OSAEC CONDUCTS SUCCESSFUL ENTRAPMENT AND RESCUE OPERATION; TWO MINOR VICTIMS RESCUED‼️
On April 28, 2026, at around 2:25 PM, joint elements of Iligan City Police Office (ICPO) Task Force Against OSAEC(TF-OSAEC), as the lead unit, successfully conducted an entrapment and rescue operation at Purok 12-E, Brgy. Sta. Elena, Iligan City, which resulted in the arrest of a 25-year-old female suspect for violation of Republic Act 11930, also known as the Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and Anti-Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials (CSAEM), Republic Act 9208 the Anti-Trafficking in Person Act of 2003 and Republic Act 7610 Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.
Prior to the operation, the suspect used online platforms to exploit minors and sent explicit materials in exchange for money, including five n**e photos of her three-year-old younger sister, which led authorities to intensify efforts for the arrest of the suspect and immediate rescue of the children victim of online exploitation.
The operation led by PMAJ ALEXANDER C. LAWAN, Team Leader, under the supervision of PLTCOL GLEN B. JANOG, Chief of City CIDMU, and the overall supervision of PCOL MARIO M. BAQUIRAN Jr., Officer-in-Charge ICPO, together with the personnel from ICPS 2, Investigation and Detective Management Unit (CIDMU), Regional Detective and Investigation Management Division 10, Women and Children Protection Center (WCPC-MFU), and in coordination with the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC), DOJ RACETTF 10, DOJ Iligan City Prosecutor’s Office, DSWD Region 10 and CSWD-Iligan City. Confiscated from his possession and control one cellular phone and one identification card.
Following the arrest, ICPO Task Force Against OSAEC immediately coordinated with Linamon Municipal Police Station under the supervision of PMAJ MOHAIMEN M. ABDULPATAK and WCPD investigator PMSg Haiddy B. Burlas and MSWDO-Linamon Social Worker Ritchel L. Pelarion to locate and rescue the minor victim being exploited online. At around 5:05 PM on the same day, two female minor victims, ages 3 and 12 years old, were successfully rescued.
At around 5:45 PM, the victims were formally turned over to the City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD) Children Assessment and Processing Iligan City , Brgy. Poblacion, Iligan City.
Suspect was then brought to ICPS2 for proper disposition
