CITY POLICE AND CITY GOVERNMENT STRENGTHEN COORDINATION FOR BARANGAY DRUG CLEARING PROGRAM

City of San Fernando, La Union — October 27, 2025.
Personnel of the City Government of San Fernando, through the Lakas ng Pagbabago Office, coordinated with the City of San Fernando Police Station to complete the documentary requirements for the Barangay Drug Clearing Program (BDCP). The meeting aimed to facilitate the clearing process for the seven (7) remaining uncleared barangays and strengthen coordination among the local government, police, and barangay officials in support of the city’s goal of a drug-free community.

CONGRATULATIONS TO BARANGAY ILOCANOS SUR AND BARANGAY LINGSAT for being officially declared Drug-Cleared Barangays

San Fernando City, La Union — A remarkable victory in Barangay Drug Clearing Program was achieved as Barangays Ilocanos Sur and Lingsat of the City of San Fernando were officially declared Drug-Cleared Barangays by the Regional Oversight Committee on Barangay Drug-Clearing (ROCBDC) after a rigorous deliberation, validation, and verification process held in Sta. Maria, Ilocos Sur on October 16, 2025.

This declaration stands as a powerful testament to the relentless collaboration and unwavering commitment of the City Government of San Fernando, the DILG–City of San Fernando Field Office, the Lakas ng Pagbabago Office, the City of San Fernando Police Station, and the local officials and residents of the two barangays.

Through months of hard work, community engagement, and steadfast implementation of the barangay drug clearing program, the collective effort has finally borne fruit. The once-challenging road to transformation has now led to a milestone worth celebrating, a community renewed, and united in purpose.

PLTCOL TRISTAN OLIVER B NARA, COP of the City of San Fernando Police Station, lauded the achievement, emphasizing that this success is a shining example of what can be accomplished when the government and the community stand together in the pursuit of a drug-free city.

The declaration of Barangays Ilocanos Sur and Lingsat as Drug-Cleared marks another significant step in the City of San Fernando’s ongoing mission to build a drug-free, peaceful, and progressive community, a living proof that genuine change is possible through perseverance, partnership, and hope.
