It was an honor to attend the 5th State of the Nation Address of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., where he laid out the nation's accomplishments, priorities, and the road ahead.
His message reminds us that nation-building is a continuing responsibility, one that calls on every leader to remain committed in serving with purpose, creating opportunities for our people, and making decisions that will benefit not only the present generation but also those who will come after us.
As an Ilokano, I share this commitment with my fellow leaders. Together, let us continue working with integrity, compassion, and dedication to build a better Laoag, a stronger Ilocos Norte, and a brighter future for every Filipino.
Because the best measure of our leadership is the future we leave for our people.
