🌧️ A Reflection on Prophet Micah and the Floods We Face 🌧️
I was reading about the prophet Micah and couldn’t help but think of our situation here in the Philippines — especially with the constant flooding and all the talk about “flood control projects.”
Micah was known for his courage to speak out against corruption and injustice. He saw leaders who were supposed to serve the people but were only serving themselves. His words still hit hard today:
“What does the Lord require of you but to do justice, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.” — Micah 6:8
Every time I see the news of flooded streets and devastated families, I can’t help but wonder: are we really doing justice? Are the projects truly built to protect the people, or just to fill pockets?
Micah reminds us that real progress doesn’t start with big budgets or ribbon-cuttings — it starts with integrity, honesty, and a heart that truly cares for others. 💔
If only more leaders lived by Micah’s words, maybe the rain wouldn’t drown us so easily — not just with water, but with disappointment.
