๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ | The Municipality of San Lorenzo convened its Municipal Development Council (MDC) Regular Meeting last May 26, 2026, bringing together local officials and civil society organization representatives to discuss priority programs, ongoing projects, and development initiatives for the municipality.
The meeting was presided by Hon. Jimmy O. Gajo, Municipal Mayor/MDC Chairperson together with Mrs. Marilou V. Lampitoc, CSO Rep./MDC Co-Chairperson. Present during the activity were barangay captains of 12 barangays headed by LIGA President Hon. Evelina T. Salcedo, CSO representatives, SK Federation President Princess Sarah Z. Gabiota, and Ms. Catherine Ann L. Gaurana, EnP., MPDC/MDC Secretariat.
The MDC discussed several key agenda items focusing on the review and approval of CY 2026 Enhanced Annual Investment Plan and 2027 AIP, supplemental budget and matters concerning the proposed implementation of Municipal Sports and Recreation Center to ensure the effective implementation of priority programs, proper allocation of resources, and alignment of municipal initiatives with the development needs of the community.
During the forum, several issues and concerns were also raised, allowing the council members to discuss possible solutions, provide recommendations, and address matters affecting the implementation of programs and services within the municipality.
MDC Co-Chairperson Ms. Marilou V. Lampitoc presented the result of the Project Monitoring Visit at the Municipal Slaughter House project conducted by the Local Project Monitoring Committee last December 17, 2025 wherein recommendations and insights were discussed during the Problem-Solving-Session, to further improve the implementation, coordination, and monitoring of ongoing municipal programs and projects.
She also shared that the Municipality of San Lorenzo was one of the qualifiers in the Localized Evaluation System (LES) on Monitoring and Evaluation Municipal Excellence (ME-2) during the Manggahan Government Service Fair 2026, last May 21, 2026 reflecting the municipalityโs strong performance and commitment to effective public service delivery and compliance with required evaluation standards.
In line with this, the Municipal Development Council of San Lorenzo will continue to uphold its commitment to effective governance, strengthen local development initiatives, ensuring effective implementation of programs and promote participatory governance for sustainable community growth.
