BTr Region VI Official page of Bureau of the Treasury-Region VI On November 02, 1897, the first National Treasurer was appointed by the President.

The Bureau of the Treasury is one of the bureaus under the Department of Finance involved in carrying out the fiscal policies of the government. On October 03, 1900, Philippine Commission Act No. 12 was organized under the Bureau of Insular Treasury but it was renamed on October 26, 1905 as Bureau of the Treasury by Act No. 1679. he agency was reorganized per RA 6130. Last October 17, 1997, the bureau was reorganized under Executive Order 449. In 1965, Bureau of the Treasury established its Regional Offices. The Regional Office No. 6 is headed by a Regional Director. Five (5) Provincial Offices composed the whole organization namely the Negros Occidental, Antique, Aklan, Capiz, and Iloilo Provincial Offices including Province of Guimaras. The Bureau of the Treasury Regional Office No. 6 Unit Vision, “A more pro-active and responsive regional operations of the needs of the government and the general public”.
