𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐨 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐭 𝐍𝐈𝐒𝐔-𝐕𝐒𝐂
Innovation and collaboration marked the 2nd Tech Expo of Northern Iloilo State University–Victorino Salcedo Campus, held at the Campus Gymnasium on February 27, 2026, with the theme “NISU-VSC Tech Nexus: Connecting Minds, Meaningful Innovation Impact.”
The university underscored the importance of technological advancement and collaboration as the campus held its second Tech Expo, providing a venue for students to present their innovations and research-based projects.
Engr. Hermie A. Alegre, Chairperson of the Bindtech Department, officially welcomed participants and guests to the second staging of the Tech Expo. He emphasized the importance of collaboration, creativity, and progress, describing the event as a platform where the intersection of technology and innovation sparks meaningful impact within the academic community.
Campus Administrator Dr. Raffy B. Chavez expressed his gratitude to everyone involved in organizing the program. In his message, he acknowledged the continuous advancement of technology, particularly developments such as artificial intelligence. He stressed that innovation never stops and should not be limited, encouraging students and faculty to continuously improve their technological initiatives in the coming years.
Meanwhile, Dr. Rosalie Grace S. Dela Cruz, Dean of the College of Industrial Technology, inspired participants by reminding them that the knowledge and skills they develop today will create a real impact in the future. She encouraged students to pursue innovation responsibly, ensuring that technology is used for meaningful and ethical purposes.
Highlighting the purpose of the Tech Expo, Engr. Jomar A. Dador, Associate Director for IQA and faculty member, explained that the collaboration aims to transform concepts into practical applications. He underscored academic excellence, sustainability, and the development of opportunities as key goals of the event, describing it as a celebration of curiosity, perseverance, and meaningful innovation.
The 2nd Tech Expo once again served as a platform for students to showcase their creativity and technical skills, reinforcing NISU-VSC’s commitment to fostering innovation and meaningful impact through technology.
