Excellence is often mistaken for a single moment of success, a trophy raised, a certificate awarded, or applause received. In reality, excellence is not an event but a continuous commitment to growth, integrity, and purposeful effort. It is shaped quietly through discipline, resilience, and an unwavering desire to do better than yesterday.

On 14 January 2026, the 6TH FORWARD SERVICE SUPPORT UNIT, SPTCOM, PA was recognized for service Excellence in an awarding ceremony during the Support Command, Philippine Armyโ€™s Year-End Command Conference CY2025 held at Headquarters Support Command, Philippine Army, Camp Servillano Aquino, San Miguel, Tarlac City. The Plaque of Recognition was presented by MGEN FLORANTE P SISON PA, Commander, Support Command and was received by LTC ROBINSON M MENDOZA OS (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer, 6FSSU.

The Unit was commended for its high level of readiness, adherence to core military values and discipline, and strict compliance to established systems and processes as manifested by its Excellent Rating of 96.77% during the Annual General Inspection for CY 2025.

The Excellent rating reflects the collective efforts of Officers, Enlisted Personnel, and Civilian Human Resource (CHR) who consistently uphold a high standard of excellence and professionalism in the performance of their respective duties. It also underscores the Unitโ€™s strong leadership, effective coordination, and continuous emphasis on improvement and accountability.

Hence, excellence is a journey defined by purpose, perseverance, and principle. It is not measured solely by awards, but by the discipline behind the effort, the character displayed along the way, and the positive difference that makes effective contributions toward sustained organizational success.

โ€œTaking a Breather: 6FSSU Female Soldiersโ€™ Pampering Session and Skills Training during Womenโ€™s Monthโ€

Camp Martin Delgado, Iloilo City โ€“ In honoring the display of hard work and invaluable contributions of women in uniform to our organization, 6FSSU held skills training and pampering session for our personnel as we solidify our commitment to recognize femalesโ€™ vital roles in our society during the celebration of 2025 National Womenโ€™s Month anchored in theme, โ€œBabae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinasโ€. The event was conducted on March 18 2025 at 6FSSU Conference Room, Camp Delgado, Iloilo City which was participated by available personnel and dependents of this unit.

In partnership with Local Government Unit of Iloilo City, 6FSSU highlighted the celebration of Women's Month by treating female soldiers and wives of 6FSSU male personnel to nail grooming, haircut, and massage services. Also, basic haircutting techniques were taught to participants of โ€œBasic Haircut Training and Pampering Dayโ€. This aims to promote inclusivity and empowerment in women through acquiring new skills and developing oneโ€™s ability for self-sustainment. As 6FSSU female personnel had their break by pampering themselves with well-deserved treats, we are also reminded that as we rise above inequality and stereotypes, females can demonstrate excellence and achieve greater heights in their respective fields.

6FSSU remains steadfast in fostering a positive environment for women and advocating for gender equality to ensure that they are given equal opportunities to thrive in their personal and professional lives.
