Regional Juvenile Justice and Welfare Committee - VI RJJWC VI is an attached agency of DSWD that ensures the full implementation of Republic Act 9344.

The Juvenile Justice and Welfare Council (JJWC) is a policy-making, coordinating, and monitoring body tasked through its members and coordinating agencies with the implementation of the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act, as amended. VISION:
Council leading a society that promotes and protects the rights of children at risk and children in conflict with the law under a restorative justice and welfa

re system. MISSION:
To institutionalize a restorative justice and welfare system for children at risk and children in conflict with the law through the effective implementation of the law and coordination among stakeholders in a protective and enabling environment. GOALS:
For Beneficiaries: To prevent children at risk from committing crimes and to ensure that children in conflict with the law are rehabilitated and reintegrated with their families and communities. IN PHOTOS | The Regional Juvenile Justice and Welfare Committee VI (RJJWC VI), through its Secretariat, provided technical assistance to the members of the Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC) of the Municipality of San Miguel during the Updating and Planning Workshop on the Comprehensive Local Juvenile Intervention Program (CLJIP) 2026–2030.

The activity was organized by the MSWDO through the CICL/CAR Focal Person, Ms. Ericka Joyce Soliva, Social Welfare Officer III, with the full support of the Local Chief Executive, Hon. Bonifacio S. Salapantan Jr.

During the workshop, Ms. Anna Karla L. Villanueva of the RJJWC VI Secretariat served as the resource person and facilitated the planning sessions on the Comprehensive Local Juvenile Intervention Program (CLJIP). The discussions focused on strengthening the capacity of the LCPC in developing a responsive, evidence-based, and sustainable five-year juvenile intervention plan that promotes the rights and welfare of Children at Risk (CAR) and Children in Conflict with the Law (CICL), while ensuring the effective local implementation of the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act (JJWA) through collaborative planning and strategic interventions./nbc

HAPPENING TODAY | The RJJWC VI Secretariat, successfully conducted the 1st Semester Special Meeting via Zoom, bringing together representatives from the LSWDOs, BPAs, and CICL Centers across Western Visayas and Negros Island Region.

The meeting served as a venue to present and discuss the 2026 Statistical Report on Children at Risk (CAR) and Children in Conflict with the Law (CICL), the Juvenile Justice Management Information System (JJMIS) Monitoring Report, and the results of the monitoring visits to Bahay Pag-asa (BPA) and CICL Centers. Participants also discussed other matters aimed at strengthening the implementation of juvenile justice and child protection programs in their respective localities.

The activity reinforced the commitment of the RJJWC VI Secretariat, LSWDOs, Bahay Pag-asa, and CICL Centers to strengthen collaboration, improve data-driven decision-making through the JJMIS, and ensure the effective implementation of Republic Act No. 9344, as amended, for the protection and welfare of every child./nbc

LOOK | The RJJWC VI Secretariat conducted a coordination visit to the CHR VI, WCPD of the PNP Iloilo City, and the DOJ VI to facilitate the signing of Resolution No. 1, s. 2026, entitled "Strengthening Local Government Units' Utilization of the Juvenile Justice Management Information System (JJMIS)," by the member agencies of the Regional Juvenile Justice and Welfare Committee (RJJWC) VI.

DAY 2 | The RJJWC VI Secretariat continued the Training Workshop last July 16, 2026.

On the second day of the training, the selected CICL focal persons from the Provincial and Local Social Welfare and Development Offices (PSWDOs/LSWDOs) remained to participate in the intensive hands-on application of the JJMIS Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Subsystem. Participants applied the concepts and procedures discussed during the first day by encoding data, updating organization profiles, and navigating the system's various features under the guidance of the resource persons and the RJJWC VI Secretariat. The workshop also provided participants with the opportunity to address technical concerns and receive on-site coaching to ensure the accurate and efficient utilization of the JJMIS. Upon the successful completion of the training, certificates were awarded in recognition of the participants' active participation and commitment to strengthening juvenile justice and welfare program implementation in their respective local government units.

The activity highlighted the continuing commitment of the RJJWC VI Secretariat to build the capacities of LGUs and partner agencies in maximizing the JJMIS as an effective tool for monitoring, reporting, and evidence-based decision-making in the implementation of Republic Act No. 9344, as amended./nbc

DAY 1 | The Regional Juvenile Justice and Welfare Committee VI (RJJWC VI) Secretariat successfully commenced the Training Workshop on the Use of the Juvenile Justice Management Information System (JJMIS) Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Subsystem last July 15, 2026 at Hotel Del Rio, Iloilo City. The activity brought together CICL focal persons from the Provincial and Local Social Welfare and Development Offices (PSWDOs/LSWDOs) and selected Barangay Council for the Protection of Children (BCPC) representatives across Western Visayas.

The first day of the training focused on strengthening participants' knowledge and skills on the JJMIS Registry Module, Case Management Module, and the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Subsystem. Through lectures, live demonstrations, interactive discussions, and hands-on exercises, participants enhanced their competencies in data management, case documentation, monitoring, and reporting to support evidence-based planning and effective implementation of juvenile justice and welfare programs in their respective local government units.

The activity reaffirmed the commitment of the RJJWC VI Secretariat and its partner agencies to strengthen JJMIS utilization, improve data quality, and promote responsive and child-sensitive interventions for Children in Conflict with the Law (CICL) and Children at Risk (CAR)./nbc
