PECU Iloilo, Duty EIRT swiftly responded to a request from Maasin MPS regarding a recovered explosive ordnance. Through proper coordination and careful assessment, the team identified the item as one Projectile 75MM (HE) without fuze assembly.
The ordnance was safely documented and secured by PECU Iloilo, ensuring protection of the community and preventing potential harm. This action underscores the PNP’s commitment to keeping barangays safe from hazardous materials.

LOOK: In line with the PNP Focused Agenda on Community Support, under the leadership of PBGEN ROGELIO Z RAYMUNDO, JR, Director, PNP-EOD/K9 Group, and under the supervision of PMAJ ARVIN J DIMAILIG, Officer-in-Charge, RECU MIMAROPA, personnel of DECU 1 PECU Palawan, provided immediate assistance to a motorist involved in a traffic accident along Dumaran Provincial Road in Brgy. Poblacion while en route to Dumaran MPS.

The team immediately stepped in to assist a motorist who lost control on loose gravel and veered into a roadside mangrove area. They quickly secured the scene, safely retrieved the motorcycle, and ensured the rider was unharmed. After receiving a reminder to exercise extreme caution while driving, the motorist was able to safely resume his journey.

This simple act reflects our unwavering commitment to public service and bayanihan, demonstrating that protecting our citizens goes beyond routine patrol duties to genuine, compassionate care. By upholding the core values of the PNP and safeguarding life and property, our officers continue to deepen the bond of trust and safety within the community—living out the mandate of a "Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman."

On July 30, 2026, the Investigator PNCO of Cabatuan MPS, formally turned over to PECU Iloilo two corroded hand grenades (MK2 and M26) voluntarily surrendered by barangay officials of Brgy. Janipan Este, Cabatuan.

Duty EIRT personnel led by PLT CHRISTOPHER C MERCARAL,TL/EOD Tech, conducted assessment and render safe procedures. Secondary safety measures were applied to secure the ordnance, which is now under PECU Iloilo custody for safekeeping prior to proper disposal.

IN PHOTO || Personnel of Antique PECU conducted Shock and Awe Operation Strategies through intrusive paneling operation, foot patrol and police presence at the designated area. This action seeks to guarantee that the safety precautions at the preferred location are in place and to prevent any atrocities or Explosive Related Incidents (ExRIs) that could possibly occur. The activity conclude no HazMats and ExMats were found during the police operations.
