Mayor Richard Garin proudly presented Miagao’s Responsableng Ginikanan Academy (RGA) as one of the municipality’s flagship programs and best practices during the League of Municipal Mayors of the Philippines (LMP) Visayas Island Cluster Conference in Clark, Pampanga, held from September 28 to October 1, 2026.

According to Mayor Garin, the RGA is a local initiative designed to equip parents of pupils and students in Miagao’s public elementary and high schools with guidance, training, and learning opportunities.

“At its heart, the program recognizes that education does not begin and end at the school gate—it is also shaped at home, in conversations around the dinner table, in the values children witness, and in the support they receive from the people closest to them,” Mayor Garin said.

Mayor Garin shared the RGA before fellow local chief executives as an example of how a community-based initiative can deepen parental involvement in education while promoting responsible parenting.

Through the RGA, Miagao continues to advance the principle that raising and educating children is a collective responsibility. With parents, teachers, schools, and the local government working hand in hand, the municipality hopes to cultivate a safer, more compassionate, and nurturing environment—one where every learner is given the opportunity to grow, thrive, and succeed.

Nagapasalamat guid kami sa tanan nga maestra kag maestro nga padayon nga nagatugro kang anda oras, kusog, dedikasyon kag sakripisyo para sa aton mga kabataan.

Salamat guid sa inyo pagtudlo, paggiya kag pag tugro kang paglaum kag inspirasyon sa aton mga kabataan agod malab-ot ang anda mga handum sa kabuhi. Ang inyo pag-alagad sa edukasyon isa gid ka importante nga bahin sa paghulma kang mas mayad nga palaabuton para sa aton komunidad.

Pero sa tunga kang tanan ninyo nga ginahimo para sa iban, kabay pa nga indi man ninyo pagkalimtan ang inyo kaugalingon. Magtugro man kang tion para sa self-care, pagpahuway kag pag-atipan kang kaugalingon. Kag bisan masako sa eskwelahan, kabay nga makapangita man kamo kang tion nga makaupod ang inyo kabataan kag pamilya, tungod sanda man ang inyo kusog kag kabakod.

Rako gid nga salamat sa inyo padayon nga pag-alagad, pagpalangga kag pag-amuma sa aton kabataan. 💚
