To match the pace of todayโs generation, Mayor Jerry Treรฑas, assembled a meeting with all the social media managers from every department/office to seek their assistance in disseminating various information to reach a broad range of spectrum.
It is also to show support, boost, and promote interaction with the respective pages of every department/office. As well as to give a glimpse of the daily tasks and activities of employees in every division.

Emphasizing the importance of adapting to the changing times, the Mayor highlighted the dominant influence of social media in today's society, prompting government officials to harness its potential for effective communication and citizen engagement.
Mayor Treรฑas acknowledged that people now constantly rely on their social media accounts for information. To ensure effective communication, he urged the managers to proactively provide timely and accurate updates on government initiatives, events, and news. Understanding social media insights was also stressed to tailor content and strategies according to citizens' preferences and concerns.
The Mayor emphasized the value of maintaining an active and responsive online presence. He urged managers to promptly address queries, complaints, and suggestions from citizens, fostering trust and transparency. Staying updated on emerging trends and best practices in social media was encouraged to maximize its potential for promoting good governance and citizen participation.
