𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | 𝐋𝐆𝐔 𝐀𝐈𝐂𝐒 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞

A total of 81 families received financial assistance through the Local Government Unit’s Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) on September 8, 2026, held at the Makeshift Area of the Municipal Gymnasium.

The activity was led by Hon. Roquito G. Tacsagon, with the active support and presence of Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer (MSWDO) Ms. Diadem Pearl F. Tamara, RSW, who provided assistance and guidance to the beneficiaries throughout the payout.

The Municipal Treasury Office, through Disbursement Officer Mrs. Tacsagon, also facilitated the orderly and efficient disbursement of the financial assistance, ensuring that the beneficiaries received the support intended for them.

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 |The Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) of Tubungan actively participated in the ERPAT Advocacy Program of Barangay Morcillas, Tubungan, Iloilo, focusing on the importance of Responsible Parenting.

The discussion highlighted the vital role of parents in providing love, guidance, protection, and support to their children. It also emphasized the importance of open communication, positive discipline, and being a good role model in building strong and healthy families.

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | The Federation of Kalipunan ng Liping Pilipina (KALIPI) successfully conducted its Third Quarter Federation Meeting on August 27, 2026, at the VAWC Room, Tubungan Gymnasium. The meeting brought together KALIPI Presidents or designated representatives from the municipality’s barangays, providing a meaningful venue for members to come together, share experiences, and strengthen their commitment to advancing the welfare and empowerment of women in the community.

The quarterly gathering served as an important platform for the KALIPI representatives to socialize, exchange ideas, and raise various issues, concerns, and challenges affecting women and their families in their respective communities. Through open discussions and sharing of experiences, participants were able to identify common concerns, explore possible solutions, and discuss programs and activities that could respond to the needs and interests of women at the barangay level.

More importantly, the meeting strengthened the collaboration, coordination, and solidarity among KALIPI members and the Local Government Unit of Tubungan. It reinforced the organization’s role in promoting women’s participation, empowerment, protection, and access to appropriate programs and services. Through sustained quarterly meetings and collective action, KALIPI continues to serve as a strong partner in advancing the welfare, rights, and meaningful participation of women throughout the municipality.

A total of 146 beneficiaries from the Municipality of Tubungan successfully received their 𝑭𝑶𝑶𝑫 𝑹𝑬𝑫𝑬𝑴𝑷𝑻𝑰𝑶𝑵, August 24, 2026, at the Tubungan Public Market.

CY 2026 Supplementary Feeding Program Distribution

The Local Government Unit of Tubungan through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) successfully conducted the Distribution of Goods for the CY 2026 Supplementary Feeding Program (SFP) on August 20, 2026 at Bagsakan Area, Tubungan, Iloilo, an initiative funded by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) – National Government, aimed at supporting the health, nutrition, and well-being of young children in our community.

A total of 45 Child Development Centers (CDCs) and 1 National Child Development Center (NCDC) are recipients of the program, benefiting 470 children aged 2–4 years old who are registered in the CDCs.

The feeding goods were sourced from local farmers and suppliers, supporting both the nutritional needs of our children and the livelihood of our local producers and businesses.

This collaborative effort reflects our continuing commitment to provide nutritious food, promote healthy growth, and create a stronger foundation for every child. Through the partnership of DSWD, LGU Tubungan, MSWDO, CDWs, local farmers, business establishments, and the community, we continue to nourish not only our children but also the future of Tubungan.

The Local Government Unit of Tubungan successfully celebrated Solo Parents Day on April 29, 2026, at the Tubungan Gymnasium, carrying the theme, “Hindi Ka Nag-iisa sa Iyong Pag-iisa: Yakap at Kalinga para sa Solo Parent.” The activity demonstrated the LGU’s continuing commitment to recognize, support, and empower solo parents by providing them with information, opportunities, and assistance that promote their welfare and self-reliance.

A key component of the celebration was the training on the Expanded Solo Parents Welfare Act (RA 11861) attended by solo parents and barangay kagawad assigned to social services. Ms. Ana Lee P. Dema-ala, Social Welfare Officer II of DSWD Field Office VI, served as the resource speaker and discussed the rights, privileges, benefits, and available programs for solo parents under the law. The activity strengthened the participants’ awareness of the government support and services they may access as solo parents.

As part of the LGU’s livelihood and empowerment initiatives, Hon. Mayor Roquito G. Tacsagon, together with Vice Mayor Leo Cezar T. Taypen, Ms. Ana Lee P. Dema-ala, MSWDO Diademm Pearl F. Tamara, RSW, and Solo Parents Focal Person Ms. Roxan C. Ta-ala, led the turnover of livelihood grants through piglet and goat dispersal to selected solo parent beneficiaries. The assistance aims to augment household income, promote sustainable livelihood, and strengthen the economic capacity of solo parents. Overall, the celebration served not only as a recognition of the vital role of solo parents in their families and communities but also as a concrete demonstration of the LGU’s commitment to ensuring that no solo parent is left behind.

The Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry(DTI)- Iloilo through the Negosyo Center Tubungan successfully conducted the livelihood training activity "Financially Wise, Business Ready: Transforming Livelihood into thriving Enterprises" held at Brgy. Igtuble Tubungan, Iloilo on August 18, 2026.

This initiative aims to equip local beneficiaries with essential financial literacy and entrepreneurial skills that can help them develop their livelihood into sustainable and profitable enterprises.

𝘚𝘓𝘗 𝘜𝘗𝘋𝘈𝘛𝘌𝘚 | The Igpaho Be Home SLP Association successfully continued its "dagyaw" activity last August 13–14, 2026, at the Sitio Baldan in Brgy. Igpaho, Tubungan, Iloilo.

Our dedicated members focused their efforts on site development, alongside with the ongoing construction of communal kitchen and comfort room. These improvements are vital steps toward creating a better, more functional space for everyone in the community.
