Hon. Sheen Marie Mabilog, City Councilor
She is a remarkable leader whose journey exemplifies dedication, integrity, and unwavering commitment to public service. A Proud Augustinian of the University of San Agustin since birth and a member of USA Tilipunan since her elementary years, she has consistently demonstrated a strong sense of purpose and responsibility. Throughout her academic life, she took on various leadership roles that reflected her passion for service and her natural ability to lead.
In 2011, she served as Vice President of the Student Council in high school, and in 2012, she was elected President of the NSTP, further strengthening her foundation in leadership and civic engagement. During her first year in college, she achieved the notable distinction of being elected SK Federation President of the City Iloilo, where she concurrently served as a city councilorβan early testament to her dedication to governance and youth representation.
Her commitment to leadership extended beyond local boundaries when, in her third year of college, she represented the Philippines as a Youth Ambassador at the first ASEAN-Japan Youth Forum in Cambodia. In 2016, she was elected University Student Council President of the University of San Agustin, continuing her advocacy for student welfare and participatory leadership.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of San Agustin. She has served in diο¬erent roles and oο¬ces within the City Government of Iloilo City including Local Economic Investment Promotions Oο¬ce (LEIPO) and Public Employment Services Oο¬ce (PESO).
At present, she serves her first term as a City Councilor, steadfast in her pursuit of good governance and meaningful legislative reforms. She actively champions initiatives aimed at reducing taxes in the city and works tirelessly to advance policies that uplift her constituents. She advocates for the rights of senior citizens, PWDs, women and youth, as well as, a staunch advocate for the Freedom of Information. Her journey reflects a life devoted to service, leadership, and the betterment of the community.
