ππππ: The Philippine Coast Guard District Western Visayas (CGDWV) successfully conducted its regular Monday Morning Colors Ceremony at Headquarters CGDWV, Zone II, Brgy. Obrero, Lapuz, Iloilo City, on June 15, 2026.
During the ceremony, Lieutenant Junior Grade Jores April G Nolido PCG, Deputy Chief of District Staff for Education and Training, D-12, served as the keynote speaker and delivered an inspiring message emphasizing the importance of compassion, understanding, and meaningful support for individuals facing personal struggles.
In her message, LTJG Nolido highlighted that genuine support does not always mean solving other peopleβs problems or rescuing them from difficult situations. Rather, it involves creating an environment where they feel valued, cared for, and encouraged to find the strength to overcome challenges on their own. She emphasized that helping others sometimes means stepping back from the urge to control outcomes, while remaining present as a source of encouragement, hope and unwavering support. By allowing individuals the space to learn, grow, and heal through their own experiences, we empower them to build resilience and confidence in facing lifes challenges.
Through activities such as the Monday Morning Colors Ceremony, CGDWV continues to foster unity, discipline and professionalism among its personnel while promoting leadership, personal growth and holistic well being in the service.
