ILOILO CITY- A positive shift from debt-burdened tenants to self-reliant landowners unfolds for 2,935 Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) from the province of Iloilo as the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) distributes 2,797 Electronic Titles and Certificate of Land Ownership Award on October 6, 2026 at Iloilo National High School.
Agrarian Reform Secretary Condrado M. Estrella III led the momentous ceremonial distribution, giving ARBs security of land ownership leading to enhanced financial capacity and social equity.
Planting is easy nowadays because of modern and scientific farming methods, because when the lives of our farmers improve, the whole nation prospers].β Secretary Estrella said.
For Rita Lumanog, Agrarian Reform Beneficiary from San Enrique, Iloilo, the titles are not just paper, it is a symbol for a brighter future of their families. She expresses her heartfelt thanks to Secretary Estrella and President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. for supporting the agriculture sector and for giving importance to all the farmers.
Meanwhile, Barangay Agrarian Reform Committee (BARC) chairman participated in the BARC Pledge of Commitment reiterating their support for the implementation of DAR programs and initiatives.
Secretary Condrado M. Estrella III emphasized that the work of the government does not stop after the distribution of land titles. He said that the government will provide farm to market roads, irrigation, farm machineries and fertilizer to improve the lives of every farmer.
