Our bulk water supplier, the Sta. Barbara Water Treatment Plant, is currently experiencing low raw water supply due to high turbidity in Tigum River.

As a result, water production is limited. To help maintain the available water supply, the reservoir cell will be throttled from 9:00 PM instead of the usual 1:00 AM schedule. Customers may begin to experience law water pressure or no water service in the affected areas.

MPIW is closely coordinating with our bulk water supplier and will continue to provide updates as they become available. Once the water service resumes, let the water flow briefly until it becomes clear.

As a result, customers in the affected areas may experience LOW WATER PRESSURE TO NO WATER until the water supply stabilizes.

We encourage affected customers to store enough water for their essential needs before the scheduled activity.

Our bulk water supplier, the Sta. Barbara Water Treatment Plant continues to receive a reduced raw water supply due to the recent flash flooding at the Tigum River. As a result, water production is limited. To help maintain the available water supply, the reservoir cell will be throttled from 9:00 PM to 4:00 AM, instead of the usual 1:00 AM schedule.

The cell elevation is projected to reach the critical level by 5:00 PM. Once this level is reached, customers may begin to experience low water pressure or no water service

Customers in affected areas may experience low pressure to no water. Normal water supply will gradually return after the activity. Once the water service resumes, let the water flow briefly until it becomes clear.

The water level at Maasin Dam remains at its normal operating level, and the total bulk water supply is within normal production capacity.

MPIW continues to closely monitor the weather for any possible disturbances and remains in close coordination with our bulk water suppliers to ensure a reliable water service.
