In line with Office of the President Memorandum Circular No. 116, the Bureau of Plant Industry (BPI), will implement a work-from-home arrangement on April 1, 2026 (Wednesday) from 8:00 AM to 12:00 noon and suspended from 12:00 noon onwards.
BPI offices will be closed from April 2 to 3, 2026, except for Plant Quarantine Service Stations at ports of entry. These dates are regular holidays per Proclamation No. 1006.
Regular operations will resume on April 6, 2026 (Monday).

The Bureau of Plant Industry Guimaras National Crop Research, Development, and Production Support Center proudly joined the 2026 National Women’s Month Celebration by honoring the powerful "Babaylan" model of leadership—a legacy defined by wisdom, compassion, courage, and a deep sense of community responsibility. Throughout the month of March, the Center fostered a festive atmosphere as employees wore purple and hosted a dedicated photo booth every wednesday for staff and visitors to enjoy.

This campaign successfully transformed digital spaces into dynamic platforms for advocacy, fostering a fun yet profound dialogue on women’s empowerment and inclusive leadership. By capturing the diverse spectrum of emotions and experiences that define womanhood, the interactive photo booth served as a visual testament to our collective strength. To round out the celebration, special tokens of appreciation were awarded to staff members whose exceptional efforts ensured the event was truly delightful and impactful.

This initiative served as a vibrant space to celebrate gender equality not just as a policy, but also as a fundamental cultural pillar of Filipino society. Furthermore, the celebration showcased the transformative contributions of women in governance and economic development while promoting gender-responsive programs that ensured equitable access to resources for marginalized groups, including rural and indigenous women.

BPI-HRS Conducts PRIME Orientation

On March 12, 2026, the Bureau of Plant Industry – Central Office Human Resources Section conducted a PRIME HRM Orientation and Internal Assessment for BPI-Guimaras NCRDPSC personnel, including Regular, Contract of Service, and Job Order staff. The activity was facilitated by Rex Francine Ferrer, Administrative Officer II, and Annika Mae Zamudio, and welcomed by Yonder J. Yonder, Agricultural Center Chief IV.

The orientation focused on the policies and core systems of the Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME HRM) of the Civil Service Commission, including updates on the four HRM pillars: Recruitment, Selection and Placement; Performance Management; Learning and Development; and Rewards and Recognition. It also served as an internal evaluation to assess the center’s readiness for accreditation and ensure compliance with government HR standards.

The Bureau of Plant Industry (BPI) informs the public that, pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 114, Series of 2026, a Work-From-Home (WFH) arrangement will be implemented on Friday, March 13, 2026, as part of the government’s energy conservation measures.

𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞: Plant Quarantine Service Stations at all ports of entry will remain open and fully operational to ensure uninterrupted services.

BPI Guimaras welcomed delegates from Germany! 🇩🇪🤝🇵🇭

Representatives from the delegates from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), German Embassy in Manila, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW)-German Development Bank , and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) visited BPI Guimaras to gain insights into the office’s programs, technologies, and services. The delegation included Parliamentary State Secretary Johann Saathoff, BMZ Commissioner for Asia Gisela Hammerschmidt, along with senior representatives from BMZ, GIZ, KfW, the German Embassy, and ADB.
