The 604th Community Defense Center (CDC), 6th Regional Community Defense Group (6RCDG), Reserve Command, Philippine Army, successfully conducted the Grand Mustering of the 604th Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion (604RRIBn) on 05 July 2026 at Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT U), Iloilo City.

The activity was spearheaded by COL EDRALIN L POBLETE, ART (GSC) PA, Group Commander, 6RCDG, RESCOM, PA, and COL MICHAEL N ASUNCION, CE (GSC) PA, Director, 604th CDC, together with four (4) organic personnel of the Center, demonstrating the unit's commitment to strengthening the Reserve Force.

Serving as the Guest of Honor and Speaker (GOHAS) was Dr. Raul Banias, Provincial Administrator of the Province of Iloilo, who underscored the vital role of reservists in nation-building, community resilience, and national security.

Approximately 1,300 reservists participated in the activity, including members of the Scout Ranger Standby Reserve, the 1801st Ready Reserve Infantry Brigade (1801st RRI Bde), the 604th Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion (604RRIBn), and the Standby Reserve personnel of the unit.

The Grand Mustering served as a vital platform to account for reservist personnel, enhance unit cohesion, assess operational readiness, and reaffirm the commitment of every reservist to the mission and vision of the Reserve Command, Philippine Army. The event highlighted the unwavering dedication of the Reserve Force in supporting the Armed Forces of the Philippines in safeguarding peace, security, and national development.

604th CDC Participates in 128th Independence Day Celebration Fun Run

On 12 June 2026, COL MICHAEL N ASUNCION CE (GSC) PA, Director, 604th (ILO) Community Defense Center (CDC), 6RCDG, RESCOM, PA, together with Cpl Bianca Camacho (FS) PA, Civil-Military Operations (CMO) NCO of 604th CDC, and five (5) Enlisted Reservists of Headquarters Company, 604th Regional Reserve Infantry Battalion (RRIBn), participated in the Fun Run organized by RMN Iloilo in commemoration of the 128th Philippine Independence Day Celebration.

The activity was held at Megaworld Lifestyle Mall, Mandurriao, Iloilo City, and was participated in by personnel from the Philippine National Police (PNP), representatives from the Local Government Unit of Iloilo City, and civilian participants.

The participation of 604th CDC personnel, under the leadership of COL MICHAEL N ASUNCION CE (GSC) PA, highlights the Philippine Army’s commitment to promoting patriotism, strengthening community engagement, and fostering partnership with various stakeholders in support of national celebrations.

604th CDC Joins 128th Independence Day Celebration Flag Raising Ceremony

On 12 June 2026, COL MICHAEL N ASUNCION CE (GSC) PA, Director, 604th (ILO) Community Defense Center (CDC), 6RCDG, RESCOM, PA, together with the organic personnel of the Center and thirty (30) Enlisted Reservists of Headquarters and Headquarters Service Company (H&HSvc Coy), participated in the Flag Raising Ceremony in commemoration of the 128th Independence Day Celebration.

The activity, bearing the theme “Kalayaan. Kinabukasan. Kasaysayan”, was facilitated by the Iloilo Business Park Estate Association, Inc. and held at the Iloilo Convention Center grounds, Iloilo Business Park, Mandurriao, Iloilo.

The participation of 604th CDC highlights the Philippine Army’s continued commitment to honoring the nation’s history, preserving the spirit of patriotism, and strengthening partnership with stakeholders and the community.

On 09 June 2026, COL MICHAEL N ASUNCION CE (GSC) PA, Director, 604th (ILO) Community Defense Center (CDC), 6RCDG, RESCOM, PA, together with MSg Arnold B Montinola (OS) PA, Chief Clerk, and the organic personnel of this Center, attended and supported the Opening Program of the Combat Casualty Care or Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TC3) Training at Headquarters, 604th (ILO) CDC, Magsaysay Village, La Paz, Iloilo City.

The training was spearheaded by 1LT ALEJO O LIBARDO PA (RES), Company Commander, Headquarters Service Company, and was participated in by sixty-five (65) enlisted reservists of the Headquarters Service Company.

The activity aims to enhance the participants' knowledge and skills in combat casualty management, emergency medical response, and lifesaving procedures during tactical operations. Through this training, reservists are equipped with essential competencies to effectively respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care in support of mission accomplishment.

This initiative underscores the commitment of the 604th (ILO) CDC to continuously develop the capabilities, preparedness, and operational readiness of its reservists in serving the nation and communities.

604TH CDC PARTICIPATES IN COASTAL CLEAN-UP ACTIVITY

On 250600H June 2026, COL MICHAEL N ASUNCION CE (GSC) PA, Director, 604th Community Defense Center (CDC), 6th Regional Community Defense Group, Reserve Command, Philippine Army, together with thirty (30) volunteer reservists from Headquarters Company, 604th Regional Reserve Infantry Battalion (RRIBn), participated in the Coastal Clean-Up Activity organized by SM Cares held beside Breakthrough Restaurant, Arevalo, Iloilo City.

The activity was conducted in collaboration with various government agencies, private organizations, uniformed personnel, Coca-Cola representatives, ROMAC Iloilo personnel, manpower service providers, and community volunteers. The initiative aimed to promote environmental stewardship, strengthen awareness on proper waste management, and contribute to the preservation and protection of coastal resources.

Participants conducted shoreline clean-up operations and collected waste materials along the coastal area, contributing to the maintenance of a cleaner and healthier environment. The activity likewise fostered environmental responsibility and strengthened cooperation among stakeholders in support of sustainable community development.

The participation of the 604th CDC reflects the Reserve Force's continuing commitment to community service, environmental protection, and support to programs that promote the welfare of the community. Through activities such as this, the unit remains steadfast in its role as a reliable partner in nation-building and environmental conservation.
