Mandate
The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) is the government agency tasked to manage and supervise technical education and skills development (TESD) in the Philippines. It was created by virtue of Republic Act 7796, otherwise known as the “Technical Education and Skills Development Act of 1994”. The said Act integrated the functions of the former National Manpower and Youth Council (NMYC), the Bureau of Technical-Vocational Education of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports (BTVE-DECS) and the Office of Apprenticeship of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE). Calling all coconut farmers and their dependents in Capiz! Develop your agricultural skills through the Coconut Farmers Scholarship Program (CFSP) under the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan (CFIDP).

📢 𝗟𝗜𝗠𝗜𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝗦𝗟𝗢𝗧𝗦 𝗢𝗡𝗟𝗬! Each institution has 18 scholarship slots per batch. Slots are available on a 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗦𝗧-𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗘, 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗦𝗧-𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗘𝗗 basis, subject to eligibility and completion of requirements.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old by the end of training. Coordinate with your preferred training institution regarding PCA’s National Coconut Farmers Registry System (NCFRS) registration and other eligibility requirements.

TESDA, World Bank, explore stronger collaboration for a more responsive and future-ready TVET sector

TESDA, led by Secretary Kiko Benitez, welcomed the World Bank Group, led by, Director for Education and Skills Christian Bodewig, for a courtesy visit and meeting to discuss workforce development and international approaches to technical vocational education and training (TVET).

The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss TESDA’s ongoing reforms and priorities, including the Boosting Employability in Strategic TVET Sectors (BEST) Project being developed in partnership with the World Bank, which aims to further enhance the employability and competitiveness of Filipino skilled workers.

The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), through the Certification Office Competency Assessment Division (CO-CAD), successfully conducted the FY 2026 Capability Building Program (CBP) for Prospective Regional Expert Panel Members (REPMs) in Trainers Methodology (TM) Level I, alongside the Free National Assessment for Industry Practitioners in TM I (In-company Trainer). The activity was held from September 14-19, 2026, at the Goldberry Lite Hotel in Iloilo City.

The week-long face-to-face program successfully brought together prospective REPMs, industry experts, facilitators, and TESDA technical staff.

The activity strengthened the regional competency assessment system by equipping prospective REPMs with essential technical skills, ethical standards, and calibrated assessment practices, while expanding the pool of certified industry trainers through free assessments.

• Able to work effectively under pressure with minimal supervision
