Meeting with the Iloilo City Federated Peer Support Group (ICFPSG)

Mr. John Dave Dataro, President of the Iloilo City Federated Peer Support Group (ICFPSG), together with Ms. Nephthalie Gazier Guingao, met with Ms. Anne Princess Wong, RSW, UKP Focal Person, and Ms. Trexie Mae Paniza, RSW, CNSP Focal Person, under the supervision of Ms. Mary Grace Centino, RSW, Head of the Child and Youth Welfare Division.

During the meeting, the ICFPSG presented the Children- and Youth-Led Call to Action: Ending Child Labour and Its Worst Forms and shared its upcoming activities and initiatives aimed at strengthening youth participation, peer support, and child protection advocacy in Iloilo City.

PYAP Orientation cm Election | Brgy. Tanza Bonifacio and Brgy.Rizal Estanzuela

The Unlad Kabataan Program (UKP) under the Child and Youth Welfare Division, under the supervision of Ms. Mary Grace Centino, RSW , Child and Youth Welfare Division Head, successfully conducted the PYAP Orientation and Election in Brgy. Tanza Bonifacio and Brgy.Rizal Estanzuela.

The orientation was facilitated by Ms. Anne Princess Wong, RSW, UKP Focal Person, together with Mr. Jessie Rey Yutig, Alternate UKP Focal Person. Ms. Trexie Mae Paniza, RSW, CNSP Focal Person, also presented the programs and services of the Child and Youth Welfare Division.

PYAP Orientation cm Election | July 7, 2026

The Unlad Kabataan Program (UKP) of the Child and Youth Welfare Division successfully conducted the PYAP Orientation and Election at Brgy. Rizal Pala-Pala 1 and Brgy. Rizal Pala-Pala 2, bringing together young people to strengthen leadership, volunteerism, and active community participation.

The orientation was led by Ms. Anne Princess Wong, RSW(UKP Focal Person) together with Mr. Jessie Rey Yutig (Alternate Focal Person), who highlighted the vision, mission, and importance of the Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP) in empowering the youth to become responsible and active members of their communities. Ms. Trexie Mae Paniza, RSW (CNSP Focal Person) also introduced the programs and services of the Child and Youth Welfare Division that support the protection, welfare, and development of children and youth.

During the afternoon session at Brgy. Rizal Pala-Pala 2, Mr. Edfel Villanueva, RSW and Mr. Marben Bearneza , RSW, also discussed the Specialized Drug Education Program (SDEP), raising awareness on drug prevention and encouraging the youth to make informed, healthy, and responsible life choices.

The activity concluded with the election of new PYAP officers, marking another step in strengthening youth participation and leadership at the barangay level.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the District PYAP Coordinator, the Barangay Officials, SK Officials, and the youth of Rizal Pala-Pala 1 and 2 for their warm welcome, active participation, and unwavering support in making this activity a success.

Together, let us continue to empower the youth, develop future leaders, and build safer, stronger, and more progressive communities.
