𝐎𝐁𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐀𝐒𝐘𝐎𝐍 𝐒𝐀 𝐁𝐀𝐘𝐀𝐍, 𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐓𝐀𝐒 𝐍𝐀 𝐏𝐀𝐌𝐀𝐘𝐀𝐍𝐀𝐍 (𝐎𝐋𝐏) 𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐋𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄

Sa unang araw ng kanilang training sa Iloilo City Central Fire Station, isinagawa ni 𝐅𝐎𝟐 𝐉𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐌 𝐁𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐞, OLP Monitor ng istasyon, ang orientation at lecture para sa mga OJT mula sa University of Iloilo (UI).

Tinalakay ang mga programa at aktibidad ng OLP na isinasagawa sa buong taon, na nakatuon sa pagpapalakas ng fire prevention awareness at pagbibigay ng basic fire safety skills sa mga miyembro ng komunidad. Binigyang-diin din ang mahalagang papel ng Community Fire Auxiliary Group (CFAG) bilang katuwang ng BFP at mga unang rumeresponde sa insidente ng sunog.

Layunin ng programa na mahubog ang kaalaman, kahandaan, at responsibilidad ng mga OJT sa pagsusulong ng fire prevention, community preparedness, at public safety. Sa pamamagitan ng OLP, patuloy na pinapalakas ang ugnayan ng BFP at ng komunidad tungo sa isang mas ligtas at mas handang pamayanan.

Ngayong araw, may kabuuang 152 estudyante ng Criminology mula sa University of Iloilo ang nagsagawa ng courtesy call kay 𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐍𝐀 𝐌𝐀𝐄 𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐏𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐈𝐄 𝐍𝐀𝐂𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋, Chief, Administrative Section ng Iloilo City Central Fire Station. Kasama rin nila si 𝐁𝐀𝐘𝐀𝐍𝐈 𝐇. 𝐒𝐀𝐋𝐀𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐀, 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐂𝐉𝐄, at ang kanilang Criminology Internship Coordinator na si 𝐀𝐔𝐑𝐎𝐑𝐀 𝐏. 𝐂𝐎𝐑𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐎, 𝐏𝐡𝐃 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐦.

Isasailalim ang mga intern sa 30 araw (270 oras) na training sa Iloilo City Central Fire Station, tuwing Lunes hanggang Miyerkules, sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni 𝐅𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐄𝐃𝐖𝐈𝐍 𝐏 𝐕𝐀𝐑𝐆𝐀𝐒, 𝐃𝐒𝐂, Regional Director, BFP Region 6. Layunin ng programa na mabigyan ang mga estudyante ng praktikal na karanasan at kaalaman sa mga gawain at operasyon ng serbisyo ng bumbero sa ilalim ng hurisdiksyon ng Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Region 6.

Bahagi ang internship na ito ng kanilang academic requirement para sa Academic Year 2026–2027 sa ilalim ng College of Criminal Justice Education. Sa pamamagitan nito, magkakaroon ang mga estudyante ng mas malalim na pag-unawa sa mga tungkulin, responsibilidad, at operasyon ng serbisyo ng bumbero.

ISTORYA FEST 2026: Community Heroes Uncovered! 📚🔥

Matagumpay na naisagawa ng Iloilo City Central Fire Station (CRU), kasama ang PNP at ICDRRMO, ang isang nakakainspirasyong Human Library Adventure para sa 319 na mag-aaral (165 male, 154 female) ng Bo. Obrero Elementary School nitong Agosto 20, 2026!

Sa pamamagitan ng kwentuhan at paalalang pangkaligtasan, patuloy nating isinusulong ang Safe School Initiative sa ilalim ng OLP Masterplan para sa mas ligtas na mga paaralan sa ating lungsod.

PAGPAPATIBAY NG LIGTAS NA PAMAYANAN LABAN SA SUNOG!

Matagumpay na isinagawa ngayong araw ng Iloilo City Central Fire Station, Community Relations Unit ang isang Fire Prevention and Safety Seminar para sa mga security personnel ng SM Markets!

Layunin ng aktibidad na ito na mapataas ang antas ng kahandaan at kaalaman ng ating mga tagapangalaga ng seguridad para sa mabilis at ligtas na pagresponde sa anumang banta ng sunog sa pampublikong pasyalan.

Ang inisyatibong ito ay sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni FCSUPT EDWIN P VARGAS, DSC (Regional Director) at sa patuloy na gabay ni FCSUPT WILBERTO RICO NEIL A KWAN TIU, DSC (BFP Officer-in-Charge).

𝐖𝐀𝐓𝐂𝐇: In an exclusive interview with Bombo Radyo Roxas, SFO1 Jefferson P Buenaventura of Iloilo City Central Fire Station and a proud member of BFP Special Rescue Force talks about his journey and experiences as one of the 2026 Outstanding Ilonggos of Iloilo City.

SFO1 Buenaventura shared that being a firefighter is never easy. It means upholding a sworn duty and carrying great responsibility. Reflecting on his journey, he emphasized the importance of perseverance and having faith in one’s goals. “If you have a goal, believe in yourself and never give up. Let your journey inspire others, especially your family,” he added.

Following this recognition, SFO1 Buenaventura will also join the SM Prime 2026 search for the Philippines’ Outstanding Firefighters, representing the dedication and commitment of firefighters in the country. His journey continues to inspire others to pursue their goals, serve with dedication, and never give up.
