Carles Receives Dual Recognition at PAGDAYAW 2025: The 3rd Western Visayas Tourism Awards 🏆

The Municipality of Carles proudly announces its recent achievement at PAGDAYAW 2025: The 3rd Western Visayas Tourism Awards, where it earned two (2) prestigious recognitions from the Department of Tourism (DOT) Region VI.

The Gigantes Group of Islands was recognized as one of the Model Tourist Attractions/Sites in Western Visayas for Calendar Year 2024, citing its excellent same-day visitor arrival recording and significant contribution to the region’s tourism development.

In addition, the Municipality of Carles was honored as one of the Top Contributing Local Government Units (LGUs) in Same-Day Visitor Arrivals in Western Visayas for Calendar Year 2024, reflecting its strong performance in attracting and managing tourist arrivals.

These accolades underscore the Municipality’s continued commitment to sustainable tourism development, effective destination management, and the promotion of safe and quality visitor experiences. The recognition also highlights the collective efforts of local tourism enterprises, stakeholders, and the community in advancing Carles as a competitive and emerging tourism destination in Western Visayas.

Aligned with the national “Love the Philippines” campaign, Carles remains steadfast in showcasing its natural attractions, particularly the renowned Gigantes Group of Islands, while fostering inclusive growth and community participation in tourism.

Above all, this achievement is dedicated to the hardworking Carles tourism staff, tourism stakeholders and the people of Carles, whose unwavering support, dedication, and hospitality continue to drive the success of the local tourism industry.
