"Behind every wall is a story. Behind every story is a person who still hopes to be seen, heard, and given a chance to change."
For 17 years, ๐ ๐. ๐๐ฒ ๐. ๐๐ฎ๐ด๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ has chosen to walk through the gates, not because she is required to, but because she belives that ๐ก๐จ๐ฉ๐ ๐๐๐ง ๐ซ๐๐๐๐ก ๐๐ฏ๐๐ง ๐ญ๐ก๐จ๐ฌ๐ ๐๐๐ก๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐ฌ.
Her journey began with a simple act of kindnessโvisiting the jail, listening to the needs of the PDL, and providing what she could. Simple hygiene kits and food donations became her first steps in showing them that they are not forgotten.
But her service did not stop at their physical needs.
Recognizing the importance of spiritual guidance and emotional healing, ๐ ๐. ๐๐ฒ helped initiate and facilitate scheduled Holy Masses, recollections, medical and dental missions, and other activities that contribute to the holistic welfare and rehabilitation of PDL. She also extends her support to various programs of the Jail Bureau, becoming a trusted partner in efforts that promote positive change behind the walls.
What inspires her to continue?

Behind every PDL, she sees a person who still has the capacity to change, rebuild, and begin again. She sees the struggles they face, the needs they carry, and most importantly, the possibility of a better life after incarceration.
For ๐ ๐. ๐๐ฒ, helping PDL is more than an act of generosity. It is an expression of her Christian faith and her commitment to the corporal works of mercyโto feed the hungry, care for the sick, comfort those in need, and extend compassion to those who need it most.
For 17 years, she has walked through the gates not simply to give donations, but to give hope.
She reminds us that rehabilitation is not built by rules and programs alone. It is also built through compassion, understanding, faith, and people who are willing to see the person beyond the walls.
Her story is a reminder that sometimes, the greatest acts of heroism are the quiet onesโshowing up, reaching out, and believing in someoneโs capacity to change.
๐ ๐. ๐๐ฒ ๐. ๐๐ฎ๐ด๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ is more than a volunteer. She is a partner in rehabilitation, a messenger of hope, and a modern-day hero behind the walls.
