Open to all Initaonons

Join the LGU of Initao as we celebrate the 8𝙩𝙝 𝙇𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙣 𝙁𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙖𝙡.

Complete 133 kilometres from October 30 - November 30 and earn your Finisher Glory!

𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗱: 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟯𝟬 - 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟯𝟬, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

Minimum of 4.5kms per day and maximum of 8kms per day except weekends and holidays (maximum of 10kms).

Straight run/walk per session and not accumulative on your accomplishment for the whole day.

All joiners must join the awarding and culmination of the challenge on November 30, 2026 at the New Municipal Hall Grounds, Jampason, Initao, Misamis Oriental.

Joiners must have a Strava account for easier monitoring of organizers.

Strava account must be submitted after successful registration.

Screenshots of actual run/walk must be sent within the day to the organizers for recording purposes.

Winners will receive Finisher Medals, Raffle Entries, and Surprises.

All successful joiners will be added to our official group chat. Internal rules and instructions will be posted in the GC.

The Initao Performing Arts and Choreographers Association (IPACA) is gearing up for the 8th Lantawanan Festival, as they begin preparations for an exciting and spectacular LGU Night - the grand opening of the municipality’s 10-day celebration of tourism, culture, arts, and community.

Our local choreographers are ready to showcase the talent and artistry that make Initao truly shine. Get ready for a celebration where every movement tells a story, every performance reflects our identity, and every moment invites us to Lantaw Initao!

The best chapters of Lantawanan are yet to unfold. See you at the festival!

Turismo sa Initao warmly welcomes 𝗬𝗼𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗗𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗼, a Philippine Looper who has been journeying across the country on foot. 👣

Today marks his 122nd day on the road. According to him, he has traveled approximately 6,000 kilometers, starting from Ilocos Norte and continuing his incredible journey through different places, meeting people, and experiencing the beauty of the Philippines along the way. Yohan was also featured in GMA's Drama Anthology: 𝙈𝙖𝙜𝙥𝙖𝙠𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙢𝙖𝙣 as the first Gay Boxer depicted by the comedian Super Tekla which you can watch through this link: https://bit.ly/2XJyJoG

As we celebrate World Tourism Day today, let us take a moment to look back on the meaningful and successful celebration of Tourism Week in the Municipality of Initao - from our proud representation at the Provincial level to the vibrant activities we brought home and celebrated with our own community.

These celebrations remind us that tourism is never the work of one person or one office. It is a shared story built through collaboration, passion, commitment, and love for our home.

And indeed, the tourism story of Initao is far from finished. We are only beginning to write its best chapters.

To our Hon. Mayor Gagay Acain, Vice Mayor Gogoy Acain, Municipal Officials and colleagues, tourism workers, stakeholders, partners, and most especially our communities, thank you for being part of this journey. Every effort, big or small, contributes to the story we continue to build together.
