Nagpasalamat kami sa tibuok kasingkasing sa kanunay nga suporta gikan sa Barangay Council sa Kamelon, pinangulohan ni Brgy. Captain Fatti Angelou Bagares ug SK Chairman Vincent Tacbobo, tungod sa ilang mahunahunaon nga paghatag og “gift of appreciation” alang sa among Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) sa pag celebrar sa ALS GRADUATION.

Dako kaayo ang kahulugan sa inyong suporta ug pag-ila para sa among mga graduates samtang ilang gisaulog kining dakong kalampusan sa ilang kinabuhi.

The MOPJ in partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd) Alternative Learning System (ALS), organized and conducted the ALS Graduation and Completion Ceremony on July 2, 2026. This initiative was part of the rehabilitation and reformation program headed by RetPMAJ ROGELIO R LABOR, Provincial Warden, he emphasized the importance of education as a tool for personal growth and reintegration into society.

A total of 11 Persons Deprived of Liberty were honored during the ceremony, 4 PDLs from Elementary level and 7 from the Junior High School level. The event was attended by Dr. Edilberto L Oplenaria, ED, CESO V, Schools Division Superintendent, Ms. Eden F Bacarra, Education Program Specialist in ALS, Dr. Pio R Bagares, PhD, Public Schools District Supervisor, Hon. Mayor Mercy Grace C Acain, Initao represented by Mr. Leonides Baluran, Municipal Administrator and Brgy. Captain Fatti Angelou Bagares of Brgy. Kamelon and SK Chairman Vincent Tacbobo.

The ceremony served as a milestone in showcasing how learning opportunities can transform lives even within the correctional facilities.

The Misamis Oriental Provincial Jail headed by PMAJ Rogelio R Labor (Ret.), gives a heartfelt appreciation to the Barangay Council of Kamelon, Initao, Misamis Oriental, headed by Barangay Captain, Hon. Fatti Angelou Bagares together with the dedicated Barangay Kagawads and Sanguniang Kabataan Chairman Hon. Vincent Tacbobo, for their meaningful initiatives last April 13, 2026.

Through their generosity, hygiene kits were provided to our female PDLs, while engaging physical activities with prizes were organized for the male PDLs. Truly, these efforts reflect their commitment to the community of Barangay Kamelon.
