DPWH RAMPING UP ENGINEERING DESIGN OF BATAAN - CAVITE INTERLINK BRIDGE.

Detailed engineering design (DED) works of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) for the Bataan-Cavite Interlink Bridge, a 32-kilometer-long inter-island bridge project between the provinces of Bataan in Central Luzon and Cavite in Southern Tagalog Regions, is at 55 percent to date involving marine geophysical surveys and geotechnical investigations in evaluating underground conditions and site characterization over the waters of Manila Bay. DPWH Senior Undersecretary Emil K. Sadain together with Bataan Governor Jose Enrique S. Garcia III, Bataan 3rd District Representative Maria Angela Garcia, RMCII Multilateral UPMO Project Director Sharif Madsmo H. Hasim, Project Manager Teresita V. ODA Financing to Bankroll Big Ticket ‘Build Better More’ Projects

The administration of President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr. will ‘build better more’ as it continues to build and complete flagship infrastructure projects that have been started and approved by the previous administration to boost the Philippine economy. Several roads, bridges, and flood control projects handled by the DPWH Unified Project Management Office Operations (DPWH UPMO Operations) are financed by foreign grants and loans and passed on to the new administration in the advanced stage of implementation.

KEXIM Keen on Funding PH ‘Build Better More’ Infra Projects

The Korea Eximbank (KEXIM) has expressed interest in funding new pipeline of infrastructure projects under the Marcos administration’s “Build Better More” initiative.

During the meeting with Public Works Secretary Manuel Bonoan and Senior Undersecretary Emil Sadain, KEXIM-EDCF Country Director and Chief Representative Jaejeong Moon expressed interest in supporting DPWH pipeline new projects.

CLARIN BRIDGE: DPWH LATEST INSTAGRAM-WORTHY PROJECT IN BOHOL

The completion of New Clarin Bridge in Loay, Bohol is a timely response to address the urgent need for a safer and sturdier replacement for decades-old structure especially those affected by recent calamities.

DPWH EYES ODA GRANT TO FINANCE BOHOL OFFSHORE BRIDGE CONNECTOR

Panglao Island in Bohol Province is now among the top drawer of of tourists, local and foreign alike, because of the white sand, the cool crystal blue waters, the world-famous surrounding dive sites, and the tranquil ambiance of the place.

The Department of Public Works and Highways is planning to construct an off-shore bridge connector to ease traffic at the present causeways leading to the Bohol-Panglao International Airport.

The proposed four (4) lane 2.7-kilometer Panglao-Tagbilaran City Offshore Bridge Connector (PTCOBC) Project connecting mainland Bohol to the island municipalities of Dauis and Panglao will incorporate the iconic cable-stayed design.

According to Undersecretary and Build Build Build Chief Implementer Emil K. Sadain, the project is a candidate for possible Official Development Assistance grant from the Government of the People’s Republic of China.
