Zamboanga Sibugay National High School is the new name of Pangi National High School by virtue of the Provincial School Board Resolution that was approved by the DepEd Central Office on June, 2006. The school was established in 1974 as Sucgang Barangay High School, carrying the name of the co-founder Generoso Sucgang. With the Province of Zamboanga Sibugay created in 2001, the efforts of its princ
ipal in 2005 eventually resulted in the change of its name into Zamboanga Sibugay National High School. The school is situated 3 kilometers, North-East of the Provincial Capital Town of Ipil. It has two campuses โ Campus A has a land area of 3, 000 sq. and Campus B has a land area of 20, 000 sq. m., summing up a total land area of the school of 23, 000 square meters. A distance of around 600 meters separates the two campuses. Campus A caters first year and SPED classes while Campus B offers General Education to second, third and fourth year students with a total of 1242 students. It has 35 teachers and 5 non-teaching personnel. The facilities of the school include computer laboratories in both campuses, HE building, Science Laboratory building, Library building, Industrial Arts building, water system, School canteen and a total of 23 instructional rooms. Majority of the people in barangay Pangi and nearby villages are engaged in farming and fishing, as means of their livelihood. Some are engaged in rubber industry. The students of the school are mostly from Pangi. There are also entrants from the towns of Ipil and Naga. A number of learners from Guituan, Upper Pangi, and Tenan are also enrolled in the school.
