CLIMATE CARE Field Visit and Coordination Update | Strengthening Partnerships for Climate-Resilient Communities
The CLIMATE CARE Project, funded by the European Union in the Philippines and implemented by ChildFund Philippines in partnership with XAES Foundation Inc. and Ha Uman Assn Inc., successfully conducted a series of field monitoring and coordination visits across the project-covered barangays in the municipalities of Gutalac and Leon B. Postigo, Zamboanga del Norte.
Together with the Barangay Local Government Units (BLGUs), schools, Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), and government partners, the project team assessed the progress of Nature-based Solutions (NbS) initiatives, communal gardens, youth-led communication and advocacy activities, and sustainable livelihood interventions. The visits also served as an opportunity to finalize preparations for the establishment of indigenous tree nurseries, upcoming tree-planting activities, school-based awareness forums, and the Bamboo Propagation Training scheduled for August 2026.
These collaborative efforts continue to strengthen partnerships, enhance local capacities, and ensure that communities are well-prepared to implement climate-resilient, child-responsive, and sustainable initiatives. Through shared commitment and collective action, we are fostering safer, greener, and more resilient communities for both present and future generations.
Together, we protect our environment. Together, we strengthen our communities. Together, we build a climate-resilient future.
