RE: Postponement of Parangal sa Kabataan 2026 🏅

In connection with BANAAG 2026: Linggo ng Kabataan Celebration of the Sangguniang Kabataan of Del Rosario - Banao, we regret to inform everyone that PARANGAL SA KABATAAN 2026, originally scheduled for August 30, 2026 (tomorrow) will be POSTPONED due to unforseen circumstances.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your kind understanding and patience. With this, we kindly ask our youth to stay tuned for the announcement of the new date as we look forward to celebrating and recognizing their achievements and awards soon!

BANAAG 2026 | CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS for LARO NG LAHI 2026! 🎭

It’s finally D-DAY! 🤩 The Sangguniang Kabataan of Del Rosario - Banao invites all banao youths to participate in Laro ng Lahi today! A fun-filled event that celebrates Filipino culture through traditional games while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and unity!

DATE: August 23, 2026 (Today)
VENUE: Zone 4 Basketball Court (Iraya)
TIME: 3:30PM onwards

CONTEST GUIDELINES:

— The competition is open to all bona fide youth residents of Barangay Del Rosario (Banao), Iriga City, aged 15–30 years old, in accordance with the Youth in Nation-Building Act.
— Teams shall be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
— Each team shall be composed of up to 10 members only.

NOTE : A team may consist of up to ten (10) members. Team members may come from different zones, provided they are bonafide residents of Barangay Del Rosario (Banao). Slots are limited and will be accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Augusto, 60, guides a hand tractor through a muddy, unplanted plot in Del Rosario (Banao), Iriga City, on August 9, 2026. While small-scale mechanization has eased the physical burden of land preparation, local farmers face mounting pressures from rising fuel costs and unpredictable weather patterns. Together with his son, Jarred, they work under the heat of the sun, and as early as now, he is being taught about a legacy that cannot be taken by anyone else and will continue across generations.

BANAAG 2026 | WINNING ENTRIES FOR POSTER-MAKING CONTEST! 🎨✨

The Sangguniang Kabataan of Del Rosario - Banao would like to extend our huge congratulations to our talented youth artists who stood out as the winning entries of the BANAAG 2026 Poster-Making Contest! 🤩

1ST PLACE: Entry #1 - Norielyn Añes (Zone 5)
2ND PLACE: Entry #2 - Jerameel Almojano (Zone 1)
3RD PLACE: Entry #4 - Zhianna Joy Salamanque (Zone 1)
4TH PLACE: Entry #3 - Akio Belyze Macauyam (Zone 2)

As part of the celebration, the winning youth artists are requested to participate in the Mural Painting, where their winning artworks will be brought to life on a larger canvas and shared with the community. We are highly encouraging our fellow banao youths who are available and willing to join and help us as volunteers for the mural painting, For those youths who would like to volunteer, please message and coordinate with your designated SK officials per zone. In connection with the Linggo ng Kabataan Celebration 2026, the Sangguniang Kabataan of Del Rosario - Banao would like to inform all participating teams, youth, and residents that the Larong Lahi 2026 has been RESCHEDULED to August 23, 2026 (Sunday).

This adjustment is made to ensure the proper preparation and smooth implementation of the activity. We encourage all participants to take note of the new date and stay tuned to our official FB page for further announcements, reminders, and other important details regarding the activity.

BANAAG 2026 | OFFICIAL POSTER MAKING ENTRIES 🎨👩🏻‍🎨🫟

The Sangguniang Kabataan of Del Rosario - Banao proudly presents the official entries for the BANAAG 2026 Poster Making Contest created by our talented youth artists of Barangay Del Rosario (Banao)! 🌟

Each artwork showcases a unique interpretation of “Banaag”, a symbol of hope, inspiration, and the bright future of our youth while paying tribute to the legacy and remarkable contributions of our National Artist and Iriga’s Pride, Nora Aunor.

More than just artworks, these posters represent the creativity, dreams, and voices of all the Banao youths. Some of these artistic visions may soon inspire our community mural at the Barangay Hall! 🎨

NOTE: Our judges are now in deliberation to determine the winning entries. The winners will be announced within this week on our official page, while the official awarding of winners will take place during Parangal sa Kabataan on August 30, 2026 so be sure to stay tuned!
